Picture of Vishen Lakhiani

Vishen Lakhiani Founder

Intense, a little bit crazy, and damn good at what he does, Vishen Lakhiani is a major influence in the field of personal development. At the tender age of 33, he has already built a multimillion dollar company, created one of the world’s top workspaces and has become a highly requested speaker in the fields of marketing and entrepreneurship.

It began a few years ago when he decided to quit his high-flying career at Silicon Valley and start his own bedroom business publishing self-growth programs online. But as business grew, so did his vision.

Vishen’s quest is to redesign the global education system and heighten human consciousness by combining marketing and technology to help spread enlightened ideas. It’s no wonder that he’s a marketing and technology consultant to some of the world’s top authors and thinkers in personal and business transformation.

As a highly successful online entrepreneur, there is some method to his madness, making him one of the most sought after speakers in the world of online business building. He has been invited to speak at prestigious events like the Transformational Leadership Council and at Tony Robbin’s Ultimate Business Mastery Summit.

This year Vishen expands his vision into 2 additional companies, Project GiftED, a company that seeks to bring new idea on parenting and early infant education to the mass market; and MindValley Hispanic, which publishes personal development products for the Latin American market.

See what some of the world’s top authors, trainers and speakers have to say about Vishen here.

Picture of Mike Reining

Michael Reining Founder

Mike is a self-described “serial entrepreneur,” having launched 8 different web businesses. After receiving his BBA from the University of Michigan, Mike beat out thousands for a position as an Associate Consultant with the prestigious Boston Consulting Group. Always interested in the Internet, though, Mike’s thoughts soon turned West—towards Silicon Valley, to be exact.

Mike got into the world-renowned Stanford MBA program and used his time there, outside the classroom, to test the waters of entrepreneurship. After Stanford, Mike joined eBay, the world’s largest eCommerce company, where he served as Head of New Venture Strategy. At eBay, Mike developed and executed a global classifieds strategy that saw eBay enter the local classifieds space, which included the launch of Kijiji.com and a 25% investment in Craigslist. Mike also conceived of a wild idea that led to the acquisition of Skype for $2.6 billion dollars. However, Mike had bigger dreams and decided to strike out by founding MindValley and hasn’t looked back since.

MindValley is now one of the world’s leading online publishers and marketers in the field of personal development. Without venture capital or loans, Mike and Vishen took MindValley from ‘bedroom’ business to multi-million dollar Internet company in the span of a few years. In 2008, Mike’s passion for innovative management saw MindValley named one of the World’s Most Democratic Workplaces by WorldBlu.

Picture of Juan

Juan Chief Operating Officer

Made in Argentina, Juan is our resident execution evangelist and productivity junkie. He simply loves “Getting Things Done” in record time and more importantly with awesome results.

He joined MindValley as project manager and together with his teammates was able to pull off the company’s biggest launch (so far) in just 45 hours of work flat.

Nowadays as our rock-star COO, Juan is fully dedicated to making MindValley run smoothly and creating a high-speed implementation and ambitious results-oriented work culture.

While working for corporations in several industries from Steel and Oil & Gas Corporations to Telecommunications and IT Firms (such as IBM), Juan always had and continues to run side businesses to feed his entrepreneurial soul. From teaching super learning techniques, exporting hardwood charcoal to tennis racket imports, Juan’s interests are diverse.

He focuses his “free” time on growing his real estate investments, his Spanish Internet properties, traveling in Asia and building his personal brand as furious marketer.

Despite his average English, his burning passion for achievement made him accomplish a lot in his 28 years.

Picture of Prashant

Prashant Director of Engineering

Prashant brings many years of experience with technical operations, software engineering and product development from across a variety of Internet companies. He enjoys working in a fast-paced and engineering-driven environment, loves envisioning projects, and is always happy to wear multiple hats in development and systems administration.

He maintains a strong commitment to quality and reliability as well as an enthusiasm for developing MindValley’s technology infrastructure for future growth.

Picture of Kristina

Kristina Finance Director

Kristina Mand was one of our early co-founders and handled our legal, financial and accounting systems (all the boring stuff no one else likes to touch).

She graduated as one of the top students in her country of Estonia and was awarded a medal by the President. She also worked as vice-president for the non-profit, AIESEC, in both Estonia and Norway.

Before joining MindValley, Kristina was a foreign and public relations advisor to Estonia’s top county governor. She holds a Masters in Political Science from the University of Edinburgh.

Picture of Justyna

Justyna Business Manager

Graduating with the highest grade for her Masters in Marketing from Poland and B.A. in Management from U.K., it is of no surprise that this little energy-packed Polish wonder is always striving for higher ground. Justyna’s refusal to accept the sky as the limit has become one of MindValley’s most valuable assets as time and time again, she drives projects to record-breaking ground.

Aptly in charge of overseeing business growth, Justyna brings crucial entrepreneurial skills to the table with her exceptional work experience, ranging from the prestigious Accenture to her own offline and online jewelry making business. With sharp intuition and excellent communication skills, Justyna also negotiates quality partnerships for MindValley, building million dollar businesses in 6 months flat.

Other than making her mark in everything she touches, Justyna’s other passions include impressionism art such as Van Gogh and letting her hair down on the dance floor.

At MindValley, Justyna oversees the growth of her multi-million dollar online business units.

Picture of Alexandra

Alexandra Business Manager

An experienced PPC “Goddess” who’s cranked out wildly profitable 6-figure Google AdWords campaigns, Alexandra is responsible for studying and executing the latest profit-boosting internet marketing trends, corresponding with partners and managing her business unit’s million dollar properties.

Her charisma and charm makes her a pro at maintaining a profitable relationship with her customers and has been known to get upwards of 900 comments on a single blog post.

Apart from managing her team and growing her current business, Alex is also experienced in launching exciting new products and sites, the most recent of which pulled in $101,512.95 in just two days flat.

Her constant positive attitude and passion for “living it up” make it no wonder that Alex is also MindValley’s Fun Fund Manager. She is a networking genius and is responsible for throwing company parties that have been previously described as “legendary” in the press.

Having been a ballet, hip hop and jazz dance lover for 13 years, it’s not uncommon to find her busting serious moves on the dance floor on the weekends.

Although she misses regular snowboard trips to the Rocky Mountains, the trilingual “Canuck” spends her time in Asia indulging in her other passions of traveling, writing and awe-inspiring professional photography.

Picture of Melissa

Melissa Director

She has been an entrepreneur since age 16, but only after taking a college course called Accounting for Real Estate Millionaires did she know that she will never be an employee again—and she hasn’t looked back since. She has built several million dollar businesses on her own, making her one of the most successful female entrepreneurs in the U.S.

She lives in Florida, but runs a company with employees globally. Her partners call her a marketing genius—but her real goal is not to buy fancy houses and cars, but to direct money to where she thinks it’s the most needed.

She’s now building a charity organization that her daughter started at age 8, whose purpose is to help kids around the world.

Being passionate for learning and unlimited human capabilities she’s now dedicated to reforming the education system through Project GiftED, an ambitious initiative led by MindValley.

Picture of Ajit

Ajit Business Manager

Hailing from India with a Bachelors in commerce, Ajit brings along a great deal of leadership experience as a previous AIESEC local committee president, and national committee vice president.

He was also a team leader for one of the biggest media houses in India, and was a COO for an internet venture. At MindValley, he oversees multi-million dollar properties and manages their growth.

Picture of Wu Han

Wu Han Chief Designer

Wu Han is MindValley’s design superhero and user interface ninja. He is devotedly obsessed with user experiences on web sites and applications as he is with the cutting edge technology that drives it. He can conduct the symphony orchestra with CSS and HTML and weaves ideas and copy into beautiful web pages.

His technical and aesthetic abilities are bolstered by his varied career experiences which sees him blazing a trail through the kitchen of a top Australian restaurant, a leading pre-publishing firm, a high profile dot-com, an award winning e-learning company and a super-premium interactive agency. He’s designed for K-12 educators, doctors, university professors, consumers, marketers and the rest of the typical 80% demographics—Wu Han has a pretty good idea of what he’s doing and proud of it.

This LEGO-loving, young dad of two still finds the internet exciting despite having been in the industry for over 10 years. Wu Han wants to be famous one day doing what he enjoys everyday—making the web more awesome and inspiring others to do the same.

Picture of Lisa

Lisa Copywriter

Lisa is full of surprises. Part scientist, part social activist, part singer/songwriter and only slightly in part confused, the only constant in Lisa’s life is her love of writing.

She graduated from the University of Waikato in New Zealand with a B.Sc. (Tech) specializing in Genetics. Pining for good Malaysian cuisine, she left the land of cloning sheep to return to her home country.

After journeying through social work and the entertainment magazine industry, she now joins MindValley to delve into the sea of words, which altogether comprise—for her at least—the infinite realms of the Internet. Last but most certainly not least, Lisa plays a very active role in the MindValley Foundation.

Picture of Lisa

HaniJV Alliance Manager

Hani is a geek, but she hides it well. Only those close to her get to see her do her dance of joy (and yes, she does have one) every time Apple releases something new, there’s some new thingamajig in the market or when Twitter came out. At other times she hides behind her 12 years in the entertainment media industry where she worked behind and in front of the camera as an actress, television host, model and producer.

She’s worked for the Discovery Travel and Adventure channel, was one of the 10 Malaysian representatives for Guess International Watches, been in more than 25 local television series and movies and has hosted a food travel show where she got to travel to 9 different Asian countries – amongst other things.

Being a mixture of Nepali, Indian and Arab and growing up in a multicultural country (Malaysia) confused Hani enough as a child, that from a very young age she made a commitment to personal development and has kept to the promise. Nowadays she organizes meditation sessions, spends her time volunteering at an orphanage and is a prolific consumer of every new book in the personal development genre.

Picture of Omar

Omar Copywriter

Hailed as a literary chameleon by some and “just plain confused” by others, Omar has no reserves about switching between hard hitting business letters and abstract ad copy on demand.

That’s probably because he’s been spending his entire career exposing himself to as many writing styles as possible, with stints in advertising, publishing and public relations.

His work with countless multinationals and government bodies has won him a number of accolades, including those from John Caples International, MSA and MSC, which he enjoys ogling during his periodic bouts of self doubt.

On the rare occasion that he’s not staring at a computer screen, the Public Relations graduate enjoys deconstructing George Romero films, attending electronic music gigs and discussing politics with Bumblebee, his loyal Syrian hamster.

Picture of amir

Amir Social Media Strategist

Having been invited for conferences co-organized by Harvard University and attended international ones, Amir is a blogaholic and a passionate observer of the blogosphere. In fact, he’s currently busy writing a book on the subject in relation to spirituality and freedom of conscience.

His blog-related work has been featured on CNN, BBC, USA Today, Reuter’s AlertNet and Aljazeera International. Moreover, his own blog has also been nominated and handpicked as a top 10 finalist out of thousands, three times in a row, for the world’s largest blog competition, The Weblog Awards. It was his stepping stone into the exciting world of social media.

On top of that, the public speaking champion and passionate music lover is obviously a full-time web junkie at MindValley where he’s responsible for bringing in over a million dollars of annual revenue, and helping grow the company using cutting-edge relationship marketing and viral social media strategies that leverage blogs, SEO, YouTube, email promos and even Facebook.

Put simply, by day, Amir is MindValley’s relationship marketing and social media scientist, and by night he’s an upcoming writer, entrepreneur and music freak.

Ultimately though, Khalid is well-known for his world-class PHP development skills.

Nicole Accounts & Financials Manager

Nicole is gifted with the power to juggle a lot of things at once. She’s also “gifted” with another bigger power through her unconditional love for million-dollar spreadsheets – playing a critical role in calculating the company’s financials and hence, bonus cheques.

She has the wisdom of Luca Pacioli in taking care of MindValley’s accounts, and also makes sure that our office is ZEN.

Nicole is currently studying at the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants in Malaysia’s capital.

Picture of Katarina

There’s more than meets the eye to this country-hopping adventure seeker who hails from Slovakia. Not the kind of person to sell herself short on anything, Katarina constantly chases experiences to grow and develop. She has managed numerous large-scale projects for AIESEC in Slovakia and Peru, led as college coordinator, managed HR in Dell and even delved into the high-speed world of PR, events and advertising.

With a Masters in Business and Marketing from the University of Economy in Bratislava, Katarina lends her meticulous nature, vast experience and detailed management skills to MindValley’s best-performing websites, all while injecting her infectious optimism as a welcome added spice.

Picture of Joanna

Joanna Jeske Site Manager

Joanna’s quest for knowledge took her from Poland to the UK, followed by a successful internship at one of the biggest IT companies in Japan, and then a nonprofit in Thailand.

At MindValley, she’s responsible for overseeing the company’s profitable websites.

Energetic, fun, and super dynamic, Veronica is an avid salsa dancer and golf player who’s represented her country, Venezuela, in international golf competitions.

Prior to MindValley she’s done PR for the world’s #3 most popular Mayor, and also has experience in the culinary arts thanks to working with Venezuela’s top chef.

Given her deep commitment to grassroots-level progressive change, she dreams of running her own social marketing agency in her native country of Venezuela.

At MindValley, Veronica is the in-house rockstar multimedia specialist.

With his challenging and sharp way of thinking, Carlos combines his technical abilities with his deep interest in sociology and psychology to leverage the power of Internet harmoniously within human behavior. On top of that, he is also the co-founder of an IT company that provides open source solutions to the public and private sectors in Venezuela.

When Carlos is not busy dancing Salsa, he drives the overall strategies to take all MindValley’s businesses into the secrets of Community Management and Customer Delight.
