Picture of Vishen Lakhiani

Vishen Lakhiani Founder

Intense, a little bit crazy, and damn good at what he does, Vishen Lakhiani is a major influence in the field of personal development. At the tender age of 33, he has already built a multimillion dollar company, created one of the world’s top workspaces and has become a highly requested speaker in the fields of marketing and entrepreneurship.

It began a few years ago when he decided to quit his high-flying career at Silicon Valley and start his own bedroom business publishing self-growth programs online. But as business grew, so did his vision.

Vishen’s quest is to redesign the global education system and heighten human consciousness by combining marketing and technology to help spread enlightened ideas. It’s no wonder that he’s a marketing and technology consultant to some of the world’s top authors and thinkers in personal and business transformation.

As a highly successful online entrepreneur, there is some method to his madness, making him one of the most sought after speakers in the world of online business building. He has been invited to speak at prestigious events like the Transformational Leadership Council and at Tony Robbin’s Ultimate Business Mastery Summit.

This year Vishen expands his vision into 2 additional companies, Project GiftED, a company that seeks to bring new idea on parenting and early infant education to the mass market; and MindValley Hispanic, which publishes personal development products for the Latin American market.

See what some of the world’s top authors, trainers and speakers have to say about Vishen here.

Picture of Mike Reining

Michael Reining Founder

Mike is a self-described “serial entrepreneur,” having launched 8 different web businesses. After receiving his BBA from the University of Michigan, Mike beat out thousands for a position as an Associate Consultant with the prestigious Boston Consulting Group. Always interested in the Internet, though, Mike’s thoughts soon turned West—towards Silicon Valley, to be exact.

Mike got into the world-renowned Stanford MBA program and used his time there, outside the classroom, to test the waters of entrepreneurship. After Stanford, Mike joined eBay, the world’s largest eCommerce company, where he served as Head of New Venture Strategy. At eBay, Mike developed and executed a global classifieds strategy that saw eBay enter the local classifieds space, which included the launch of Kijiji.com and a 25% investment in Craigslist. Mike also conceived of a wild idea that led to the acquisition of Skype for $2.6 billion dollars. However, Mike had bigger dreams and decided to strike out by founding MindValley and hasn’t looked back since.

MindValley is now one of the world’s leading online publishers and marketers in the field of personal development. Without venture capital or loans, Mike and Vishen took MindValley from ‘bedroom’ business to multi-million dollar Internet company in the span of a few years. In 2008, Mike’s passion for innovative management saw MindValley named one of the World’s Most Democratic Workplaces by WorldBlu.

Picture of Juan

Juan Chief Operating Officer

Made in Argentina, Juan is our resident execution evangelist and productivity junkie. He simply loves “Getting Things Done” in record time and more importantly with awesome results.

He joined MindValley as project manager and together with his teammates was able to pull off the company’s biggest launch (so far) in just 45 hours of work flat.

Nowadays as our rock-star COO, Juan is fully dedicated to making MindValley run smoothly and creating a high-speed implementation and ambitious results-oriented work culture.

While working for corporations in several industries from Steel and Oil & Gas Corporations to Telecommunications and IT Firms (such as IBM), Juan always had and continues to run side businesses to feed his entrepreneurial soul. From teaching super learning techniques, exporting hardwood charcoal to tennis racket imports, Juan’s interests are diverse.

He focuses his “free” time on growing his real estate investments, his Spanish Internet properties, traveling in Asia and building his personal brand as furious marketer.

Despite his average English, his burning passion for achievement made him accomplish a lot in his 28 years.

Picture of Prashant

Prashant Director of Engineering

Prashant brings many years of experience with technical operations, software engineering and product development from across a variety of Internet companies. He enjoys working in a fast-paced and engineering-driven environment, loves envisioning projects, and is always happy to wear multiple hats in development and systems administration.

He maintains a strong commitment to quality and reliability as well as an enthusiasm for developing MindValley’s technology infrastructure for future growth.

Picture of Kristina

Kristina Finance Director

Kristina Mand was one of our early co-founders and handled our legal, financial and accounting systems (all the boring stuff no one else likes to touch).

She graduated as one of the top students in her country of Estonia and was awarded a medal by the President. She also worked as vice-president for the non-profit, AIESEC, in both Estonia and Norway.

Before joining MindValley, Kristina was a foreign and public relations advisor to Estonia’s top county governor. She holds a Masters in Political Science from the University of Edinburgh.

Picture of Justyna

Justyna Business Manager

Graduating with the highest grade for her Masters in Marketing from Poland and B.A. in Management from U.K., it is of no surprise that this little energy-packed Polish wonder is always striving for higher ground. Justyna’s refusal to accept the sky as the limit has become one of MindValley’s most valuable assets as time and time again, she drives projects to record-breaking ground.

Aptly in charge of overseeing business growth, Justyna brings crucial entrepreneurial skills to the table with her exceptional work experience, ranging from the prestigious Accenture to her own offline and online jewelry making business. With sharp intuition and excellent communication skills, Justyna also negotiates quality partnerships for MindValley, building million dollar businesses in 6 months flat.

Other than making her mark in everything she touches, Justyna’s other passions include impressionism art such as Van Gogh and letting her hair down on the dance floor.

At MindValley, Justyna oversees the growth of her multi-million dollar online business units.

Picture of Alexandra

Alexandra Business Manager

An experienced PPC “Goddess” who’s cranked out wildly profitable 6-figure Google AdWords campaigns, Alexandra is responsible for studying and executing the latest profit-boosting internet marketing trends, corresponding with partners and managing her business unit’s million dollar properties.

Her charisma and charm makes her a pro at maintaining a profitable relationship with her customers and has been known to get upwards of 900 comments on a single blog post.

Apart from managing her team and growing her current business, Alex is also experienced in launching exciting new products and sites, the most recent of which pulled in $101,512.95 in just two days flat.

Her constant positive attitude and passion for “living it up” make it no wonder that Alex is also MindValley’s Fun Fund Manager. She is a networking genius and is responsible for throwing company parties that have been previously described as “legendary” in the press.

Having been a ballet, hip hop and jazz dance lover for 13 years, it’s not uncommon to find her busting serious moves on the dance floor on the weekends.

Although she misses regular snowboard trips to the Rocky Mountains, the trilingual “Canuck” spends her time in Asia indulging in her other passions of traveling, writing and awe-inspiring professional photography.

Picture of Melissa

Melissa Director

She has been an entrepreneur since age 16, but only after taking a college course called Accounting for Real Estate Millionaires did she know that she will never be an employee again—and she hasn’t looked back since. She has built several million dollar businesses on her own, making her one of the most successful female entrepreneurs in the U.S.

She lives in Florida, but runs a company with employees globally. Her partners call her a marketing genius—but her real goal is not to buy fancy houses and cars, but to direct money to where she thinks it’s the most needed.

She’s now building a charity organization that her daughter started at age 8, whose purpose is to help kids around the world.

Being passionate for learning and unlimited human capabilities she’s now dedicated to reforming the education system through Project GiftED, an ambitious initiative led by MindValley.

Picture of Ajit

Ajit Business Manager

Perpetually armed with a laid-back grin and a wisecrack, Ajit makes managing multi-million dollar online businesses look easy. A bachelor of commerce and natural born leader, this goal-driven execution genius has served as local committee president and national committee vice president of AIESEC, branding team leader for one of the biggest media houses in India, and COO for a prominent Indian internet venture, which was named as one of the Hottest Startups In India.

His 8 years of experience span across various industries, including Event Management, Administration, Talent Management, Sales, Branding and Marketing.

Carrying his core strengths of flawless execution and effective troubleshooting to MindValley, Ajit manages the growth, income and assets of a group of our key online properties, and is directly responsible for launches that secure upwards of $500,000 in the first 30 days alone.

Ajit enjoys juggling his professional responsibilities with his other passions, which include traveling, partying, movies, music, and a secret skill only a select few know of… Indian cooking!

Picture of Wu Han

Wu Han Chief Designer

Wu Han is MindValley’s design superhero and user interface ninja. He is devotedly obsessed with user experiences on web sites and applications as he is with the cutting edge technology that drives it. He can conduct the symphony orchestra with CSS and HTML and weaves ideas and copy into beautiful web pages.

His technical and aesthetic abilities are bolstered by his varied career experiences which sees him blazing a trail through the kitchen of a top Australian restaurant, a leading pre-publishing firm, a high profile dot-com, an award winning e-learning company and a super-premium interactive agency. He’s designed for K-12 educators, doctors, university professors, consumers, marketers and the rest of the typical 80% demographics—Wu Han has a pretty good idea of what he’s doing and proud of it.

This LEGO-loving, young dad of two still finds the internet exciting despite having been in the industry for over 10 years. Wu Han wants to be famous one day doing what he enjoys everyday—making the web more awesome and inspiring others to do the same.

Picture of Lisa

Lisa Copywriter

Lisa invites you to define her, because she can’t do it herself. A qualified geneticist, active singer-songwriter, passionate philanthropist and talented copywriter, this walking bag of contradictions is one of those rare multi-taskers who actually does turn everything she touches into gold.

With her trusty guitar and keyboard by her side, a MacBook on her lap and an unbreakable passion for words in her heart, Lisa is no stranger to crafting million-dollar copy for some of MindValley’s most profitable launches.

Picture of Hani

HaniMedia Expert

Hani is a geek, but she hides it well. Only those close to her get to see her do her dance of joy (and yes, she does have one) every time Apple releases something new, there’s some new thingamajig in the market or when Twitter came out. At other times she hides behind her 12 years in the entertainment media industry where she worked behind and in front of the camera as an actress, television host, model and producer.

She’s worked for the Discovery Travel and Adventure channel, was one of the 10 Malaysian representatives for Guess International Watches, been in more than 25 local television series and movies and has hosted a food travel show where she got to travel to 9 different Asian countries – amongst other things.

Being a mixture of Nepali, Indian and Arab and growing up in a multicultural country (Malaysia) confused Hani enough as a child, that from a very young age she made a commitment to personal development and has kept to the promise. Nowadays she organizes meditation sessions, spends her time volunteering at an orphanage and is a prolific consumer of every new book in the personal development genre.

Picture of Omar

Omar Copywriter

Omar is the embodiment of “still waters run deep”. Nobody in the office can quite figure him out, and he is the only person in MindValley that has surrounding him multiple theories of what really makes him tick, and where on earth he gets the creative juices to fuel the million-dollar copies for MindValley’s two biggest accounts.

His career stretches across many types of writing styles with stints in advertising, publishing and public relations, and he’s picked up a decent amount of awards along the way too, including those from John Caples International, MSA and MSC. In his spare time, we think he enjoys deconstructing George Romero films and attending electronic music gigs, but nobody really knows for sure.

Picture of amir

Amir Social Media Strategist

Having been invited for conferences co-organized by Harvard University and attended international ones, Amir is a blogaholic and a passionate observer of the blogosphere. In fact, he’s currently busy writing a book on the subject in relation to spirituality and freedom of conscience.

His blog-related work has been featured on CNN, BBC, USA Today, Reuter’s AlertNet and Aljazeera International. Moreover, his own blog has also been nominated and handpicked as a top 10 finalist out of thousands, three times in a row, for the world’s largest blog competition, The Weblog Awards. It was his stepping stone into the exciting world of social media.

On top of that, the public speaking champion and passionate music lover is obviously a full-time web junkie at MindValley where he’s responsible for bringing in over a million dollars of annual revenue, and helping grow the company using cutting-edge relationship marketing and viral social media strategies that leverage blogs, SEO, YouTube, email promos and even Facebook.

Put simply, by day, Amir is MindValley’s relationship marketing and social media scientist, and by night he’s an upcoming writer, entrepreneur and music freak.

Picture of Ewa

Ewa JV Manager

Besides working with Proctor and Gamble, Ewa was also a behind the scenes insider deep within the packaging industry and the world of educational seminars, from which she has gained valuable insights.

At MindValley, Ewa, a licensed ski instructor, is in charge of dealing with partners and building the #1 personal growth newsletter and blog on the entire internet.

Picture of Gabby

Gabby Copywriter/Content Writer

Just look up the word eclectic in the dictionary and you’ll be sure to find her picture there. Coming from a mélange of cultures and experiences, Gabrielle is certainly one multifaceted diamond.

Writing for countless blogs and personalities, it’s amazing she hasn’t already developed a split-personality disorder. But that’s no surprise for someone quoted as saying, “I write to stay sane.”

Gabrielle comes from the land of bacon and maple syrup (Canada) but has also spent time growing up in the States, Malaysia, and Taiwan. A lover of travel, she plans to live in a different country every 2 years.

In her free time she works on her zombie novel, fashion satire blog, and attempts to learn French. Her goal for 2010? To make a documentary and write a sitcom based on MindValley.

Picture of Khalid

Hailing from the Middle East, Khalid, a prolific developer and basketball addict, is highly knowledgeable in Data Driven Web-Applications, SSL technologies, J2ME, and MySQL.

He was also a key person behind the sophisticated technicalities of BlinkList, one of the top four social bookmarking tools in the world, which was developed by MindValley.

Ultimately though, Khalid is well-known for his world-class PHP development skills.

Picture of Paul

Paul Application Developer

The sporty, ever-giggling shisha lover also holds a degree in Software Engineering and an MBA from Multimedia University in Malaysia.

At MindValley, she oversees technical requests from the media team and is also the key developer behind GratitudeLog where her code flows more beautifully than the poetry of Rumi.

Picture of Nicole

Nicole Accounts & Financials Manager

Nicole is gifted with the power to juggle a lot of things at once. She’s also “gifted” with another bigger power through her unconditional love for million-dollar spreadsheets – playing a critical role in calculating the company’s financials and hence, bonus cheques.

She has the wisdom of Luca Pacioli in taking care of MindValley’s accounts, and also makes sure that our office is ZEN.

Nicole is currently studying at the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants in Malaysia’s capital.

Picture of Joanna

Joanna Talent Manager

Joanna’s quest for knowledge took her from Poland to the UK, followed by a successful internship at one of the biggest IT companies in Japan, and then a nonprofit in Thailand.

Deeply passionate about social entrepreneurship and empowering youth to lead more meaningful lives, Joanna also holds a Masters degree in marketing and management.

Picture of Veronica

Veronica Project Manager

Energetic, fun, and super dynamic, Veronica is an avid salsa dancer and golf player who’s represented her country, Venezuela, in international golf competitions.

Prior to MindValley she’s done PR for the world’s #3 most popular Mayor, and also has experience in the culinary arts thanks to working with Venezuela’s top chef.

Given her deep commitment to grassroots-level progressive change, she dreams of running her own social marketing agency in her native country of Venezuela.

At MindValley, Veronica is the in-house rockstar multimedia specialist.

Picture of Calvin

Calvin Application Developer

Graduating from APIIT with a BSc (Hons) in computer, Calvin is the Jack-of-all-Trades in anything that is technical. A self confessed techno-gadget addict, Calvin can’t live without anything programmable for more than a week before he suffers withdrawal symptoms.

With an undying love affair towards anything that blinks, bleeps and speaks sweet nothings to him from its 2GB heart, Calvin aspires to be the best inventor Malaysia has ever seen.

Picture of Stan

Stanislaw Interaction Designer

Stan is what you get when you blend mad front-end developing skills, an eye for inspired design and a feverish curiosity for the finer points of human interaction into one eclectic package. A personal mission to bring technology closer to people through simple yet enjoyable interfaces keeps this quirky computer science postgraduate focused, as he travels the world in search of new cultures, ideas and worldly addictions.

At MindValley, Stan draws up stunning website, banner and product designs, crafts solid front-end programming code for PHP, Javascript and CSS/XHTML platforms, and even builds powerful Wordpress plugins for enhanced user experiences.

In his free time, Stan enjoys watching episodes of He-Man (dubbed in Polish), scrutinizing street signs, and making sweeping judgments on people he meets on the street.

Picture of Sabri

Sabri Community Manager

He’s more than just a self-confessed Ribena addict. Armed with the special ability to charm the angriest customer into a delighted product evangelist, Sabri is a customer-happiness guru.
And at the tender age of 21, he became the youngest best-selling business author in Malaysia. He still holds that record to this day.
When Sabri isn’t dazzling the customers, he sets off to create his ideal day, which involves a beach, books, and a laptop.

Shaan Community Manager

Although he’s a die-hard fan of anything with a trigger or a clutch, Shaan is not your everyday adrenaline junkie. The former Singapore Armed Forces member’s knack for solving problems puts him at the forefront of MindValley’s customer support, as he puts smiles on customer’s faces faster than he can unload his assault rifle’s clip at target practice. His work motto is “Making our customers happy is like driving a purebred muscle car on the race track – there’s no such thing as going too fast.”

Evan PPC Specialist

Evan single handedly manages a budget of $1 Million dollars as the PPC Marketing Manager for MindValley. Evan’s ninja-like PPC skills have allowed him to crank out wildly profitable 6-figure AdWords Campaigns and double conversion results across several of MindValley’s businesses while continuing to rapidly expand into new niche markets.

A productivity junkie at heart, Evan is constantly innovating new ways to automate, and rapidly scale MindValley’s “backbone”. Evan is constantly brewing up some of the most tantalizing split-tests and continues to create the sleekest, highest converting landing pages on planet earth.

Evan’s smile is infectious and rumor has it, he lacks any other emotion besides pure elation. Prior to joining MindValley, Evan’s unwavering commitment to having the most fun imaginable, lead him to a role in Marketing & Promotions with one of North America’s largest Beer companies where he coordinated some of the most legendary events this world has seen.

When away from his desk, you’ll find him “Living The Dream” as he proudly states: Evan’s passion for traveling has brought him to over 28 countries in his short 22 years of life. This adventure loving Canadian is constantly chasing his next adrenaline rush & he brings the same excitement to the office every single day.

If internet marketing was a party, Diana would be its rockstar. After a nearly decade-long stint in the public relations industry, this communications pro is now belting out her literary masterpieces to the online crowd in the form of captivating blog posts, mesmerizing newsletters and magnetic emailers.

Diana’s writing forms the backbone of many of MindValley’s key customer relationship drives, ensuring our lists are perpetually happy and engaged.

She spends most of her free time wishing she had more free time.

Picture of Leanne

Leanne Innovation Specialist

Brimming with infectious energy and bursting with million-dollar ideas, Leanne is living proof that you really can be a jack-of-all-trades and a master of all. Graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce and Management from the University of Alberta, she spent 4 years working for the largest experiential marketing company in North America, where she serviced a variety of Fortune 500s including DaimlerChrysler, Labatt and Proctor & Gamble.

Her strong corporate background positions her as an innovation leader at MindValley, where she sparks and oversees countless business-expanding exercises, including multi-channel marketing, the setting up of an outbound and inbound call center, trend-watching, split testing and many more.

Outside the office, Leanne is everything you’d expect of an energetic soul who simply refuses to be pigeonholed. She’s an avid photographer, a personal development enthusiast, an adventurer and backpacker, and most recently a marathon runner, having just completed her first half marathon in Singapore.

Picture of Jade

Jade Public Relations Specialist

Jade loves cats, and in many ways she is one. Slinking effortlessly across the glitzy realms of PR and magazine publishing, the former OK! magazine editor’s calculated business strategies and agility in media management have left countless high-brow clients – including Microsoft, Nike and the Discovery Channel – purring with satisfaction.

Trading in her red carpet pass and champagne glass for a keyboard and a cappuccino, Jade is now in charge of grooming MindValley’s public persona, and uses her vast experience with the media to spread enlightened ideas throughout the internet and beyond.

When no one’s looking, she enjoys cooking (you haven’t lived until you’ve tried her epic Guinness beef stew), reading anything that’s won a Booker prize, and pretending to be Jem, the rockstar cartoon character from the 80’s.

Prabu Systems Administrator

In the office, Prabu is known as the Sysadmin who’s incredibly calm and patient. He thrives in high paced environments and is always game for a good challenge.
When he’s not working he indulges in photography, the arts and a whole load of other randomness :). He is a self-professed narcissist who loves a good dose of reality. Having founded his own company at the age of 18, Prabu believes that everything and anything is possible with fast Internet and lots of caffeine.

Picture of Cecilia

Cecilia Community Manager

It’s no coincidence that ‘Cecilia’ and ‘Delight’ are both 7-letter words. With her uncanny ability to turn even the most hardened customer into a loyal fan, Cecilia never fails to delight and assist MindValley’s wide customer base.

But this Italian delight specialist doesn’t just stop at the Internet – she’s also a professional singer, pleasing crowds in theaters across Europe.

Aside from pleasing customers and singing, Cecilia’s goal in the coming years is to launch ‘Made In Italy’, her very own clothing line.
