5 Stability

We have never taken a drop of investment and so have no investors to pull the plug on us. Were fully private, self-funded and profitable. We started with $500 and a laptop in January 2003 and have grown rapidly since.

6 Fun

We put the Fun in Business Fundamentals. Dont get us wrongwere a disciplined, well-oiled engine of growth. Many of our employees have spent significant time volunteering or working for non-profits. We started this business to change the world. Money came naturally. Our 2009 team retreat in Bali.

Why Malaysia?

Why did we move from New York and San Francisco to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia?

Our head office is in Malaysia for a number of reasons. Firstly, this is one of the hottest economic growth regions in the world. Within a 4 hour flight from Kuala Lumpur, you can access 3 billion people. 90% of our business is in the USA and Europe right now& but we see Asia as a rapidly emerging market.

The other reason is that Malaysia is an incredibly fun country to run a company in. Mindvalley people spend their weekends exploring rain-forests, working on non-profit causes, partying in the bars and clubs of Kuala Lumpur, and visiting exotic destinations like Phuket, Bali, Tioman or Angkorall within a few hours flight. This tropical paradise is centrally located amongst the world’s most amazing tourist destinations.

We love democracy.
