The fact is, they\u2019re the lifeblood of any and all coaching businesses.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>No amount of planning, passion, or skill is going to help if you have no one to serve, if you\u2019ve got no clients,<\/em>\u201d says Ajit, co-founder of Mindvalley Coach (formerly known as Evercoach by Mindvalley).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And with a dash of your personal touch, you may just find <em>your<\/em> perfect recipe for creating clients and enrolling them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-get-coaching-clients\">How to get coaching clients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Great things never happen in comfort zones. So if you\u2019re thinking about how to get life <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/crm-for-coaches\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">coaching clients<\/a>, how to attract business clients, or what have you, then proactivity should be your mantra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sure, it\u2019d be easy if you could approach potential clients like Marlon Brando in The Godfather: \u201c<em>I\u2019m gonna make him an offer he can\u2019t refuse.<\/em>\u201d Man, that\u2019s the dream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately, this is reality. And <em>fortunately<\/em>, Ajit has three strategies that may just help you create your clients and enroll them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So no matter which sector of the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/build-a-coaching-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">coaching business<\/a> you\u2019re in, take time to try out these steps and strategies so you\u2019ll be able to increase the odds of your success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-the-circle\">1. The Circle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>The Circle is when you organize an invite-only group to discuss a particular topic,\u201d<\/em> Ajit explains. The purpose of it is to create a safe space to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have an open dialogue on any particular topic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Share knowledge, thoughts, and ideas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create coaching moments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Challenge the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/vishen-lakhiani-brules\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">brules<\/a>&#8220;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spark &#8220;aha&#8221; moments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It brings together like-minded individuals who are interested in a particular topic. So, for instance, if you\u2019re a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/how-to-become-a-life-coach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">life coach<\/a> for women, you can host a &#8220;She Circle&#8221; to allow your potential clients to connect with themselves and each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What\u2019s more, the Circle is where you can gain intel. \u201c<em>This is also an opportunity for you to learn from your circle,<\/em>\u201d says Ajit. \u201c<em>What are they working towards, what do they want to learn, what are their plans, what are their concerns, [and] how you can serve them.<\/em>\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-micro-gathering\">2. Micro gathering<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the Circle is an invite-only that focuses on discussions, micro-gathering is quite the opposite. They\u2019re less about conversations and more of a workshop format where you\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pick a topic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make an invitation to your community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give a talk where your attendees get an insight into your <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/coaching-skills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">coaching skills<\/a> and style<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>If you&#8217;re able to do this right, you can build rapport, and [it] eventually opens a possibility of you even being able to enroll some of these individuals into your coaching business,<\/em>\u201d Ajit explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Micro-gathering is somewhat like <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/group-coaching\/\">group coaching<\/a>. And it\u2019s legit one of the best ways to get to know people in your community whom you don\u2019t know and expand your reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-the-list\">3. The list<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Find people who fit the description of your ideal clients. These are individuals who you feel you\u2019d be excited to coach, even if you don\u2019t know them. This is <em>the<\/em> list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ajit suggests making a list of 50 individuals in your network or around your network. It\u2019s best if they\u2019re people you may not be deeply connected with, but you can see that they can benefit from the work that you do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, if you\u2019re a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/health-coaching\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">health <\/a>coach for senior citizens, you can make a list of your parent&#8217;s friends or friends\u2019 parents who may need to seriously reconsider their sedentary lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you have your list, Ajit recommends following these four steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Qualify. <\/strong>Ask the potential client questions that would give you insight into whether you\u2019d be in synergy with each other.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Invite. <\/strong>Encourage them to solve a frustration or reach out for a possibility that they\u2019ve already identified for themselves.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Give. <\/strong>After inviting them, provide them with a solution\u2014a way to get around their frustration or how they can transition from something being a possibility to a reality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Propose.<\/strong> Offer to work with them to continue helping them solve problems and reach out for possibilities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>[The list] allows you to be straightforward with what you offer, and you have a long list of potential clients that you&#8217;re dealing with,<\/em>\u201d Ajit explains. \u201c<em>This also becomes less frustrating when you get a no because you have the whole list to reach out to to get your yes\u2019s.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And don\u2019t get flustered when you hit a bump in the road. The good thing is that clients are <em>everywhere<\/em>. Word-of-mouth is one of the most powerful marketing strategies out there.
