Allen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earning money and creating wealth are two distinct concepts. And the cold, hard truth is, relying on a single source of income isn\u2019t just risky\u2014it&#8217;s obsolete.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s why Robert really highlights the importance of multiple streams of income (after all, it <em>is<\/em> the title of one of his best-sellers). Look at Shaquille O\u2019Neal, for example. While he\u2019s known for his time in the NBA, he\u2019s also savvy when it comes to his <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsbrief.com\/nba\/35604-what-companies-shaq-find-information-here\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">multiple businesses<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Real estate, stocks, and digital domains are only some of the many ventures you can explore. If those aren\u2019t your forte, explore other income ideas so you can ensure that money flows in, even when one of your streams faces a downturn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-o-outstanding-product\">O: Outstanding product<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You&#8217;ve got to admit, social media has made standing out a challenge. Products and services are constantly vying for attention. And if you\u2019re not \u201ctrending,\u201d then you\u2019re just another <em>blip<\/em> in the algorithm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So what\u2019s Robert\u2019s take on this? Simple: Craft an outstanding product.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>As soon as the income starts to go, the economy starts to go, people stop buying that discretionary item<\/em>,\u201d he explains. So create something that\u2019s \u201c<em>unique enough so that people will continue to buy it<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It should be something that not only sells itself but also turns customers into advocates. By ensuring that your product or service fills a gap, addresses a need, or simply offers undeniable value, you set yourself up for financial success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-n-no-money-down-or-as-little-as-possible\">N: No money down (or as little as possible)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Real estate is often riddled with tales of massive investments and even bigger risks. Yet Robert introduced a revolutionary concept: investing with no money down.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>The more money I have to put into it, the greater the probability it will fail<\/em>,\u201d he says. \u201c<em>Therefore, I want a business that I can start with minimal money<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The thing is, this isn\u2019t about looking for shortcuts but about optimizing resources. Leveraging assets, understanding market dynamics, and negotiating deals can pave the way for investments that <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/how-to-attract-money\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">attract money<\/a> rather than drain it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-e-employee-resistance\">E: Employee resistance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Robert has one view on employees: they can sometimes be more trouble than they\u2019re worth. In his words, \u201c<em>Employees are the most dangerous part of a company. You have to keep finding them; they keep giving you challenges and troubles<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sure, in businesses like real estate, you can run things with just a few people or even by yourself. That\u2019s what Robert likes about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, in many other businesses, employees are the game-changers. In industries like tech or retail, for example, the right team can make all the difference\u2014they bring <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/unique-business-ideas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unique business ideas<\/a>, skills, and a fresh way of looking at things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So when it comes down to it, it\u2019s all about finding the right balance. Some businesses work best with fewer people, while others thrive with a bigger team.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trick is to know what works for you and your organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-y-yield\">Y: Yield<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A litmus test of any investment strategy is the yield. It simply comes down to this: Returns validate your investment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/5e1da0a7-54a7-4452-8a9c-37f861894562\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a> from the <em>Financial Times<\/em>, people who closely watch and handle their investments usually do better than those who don\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>Although I put little down, I want to crush it<\/em>,\u201d says Robert. \u201c<em>I want a business that has unlimited upside<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don\u2019t we all, Robert? Don\u2019t. We. All.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-t-trend-and-timing\">T: Trend and timing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Much like surfing, you have to catch the wave at just the right time. And in Robert\u2019s experience, he jumped on the real estate trend at its peak and, later, the internet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>The system of real estate is radically different than the system of the internet<\/em>,\u201d he points out. But he had to pick up the skills to stay ahead of the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, when you\u2019re thinking of starting a business or making an investment, ask yourself: \u201c<em>Am I catching this trend at the right time?<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-r-residual-nbsp\">R: Residual&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the magic word for \u201c<em>making money while you sleep<\/em>.\u201d Think: properties that earn rent, affiliate marketing, or online platforms that keep selling even when you\u2019re chilling on a beach somewhere.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residual income is when you have a business that you don\u2019t have to attend to every single day. John Lee, CEO of Wealth Dragons, puts it perfectly during his stage talk at Mindvalley University 2023:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>What&#8217;s open 24 hours a day, even on Christmas? The internet. What do our phones spend most of the time doing? Looking at the internet. So shouldn&#8217;t we be making money instead of doing that?<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And in today\u2019s digital world, almost anyone can tap into passive income with minimal cost and effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-e-essential-to-everybody-every-day\">E: Essential to everybody every day<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are the things people can\u2019t live without, no matter what. So, for instance, everyone needs a place to stay, right? That\u2019s why real estate is Robert\u2019s go-to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>What I love about real estate\u2014residential real estate\u2014is [that] it\u2019s essential to everybody every day<\/em>,\u201d he says. \u201c<em>Therefore, when the economy has its ups and downs, they still have to have a place to live<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s not a luxury; it\u2019s a necessity. Just have a look at Maslow\u2019s Hierarchy of Needs\u2014the basics include food, shelter, clothing, and sex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, when you\u2019re looking into <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/passive-income-ideas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">passive income ideas<\/a>, check if it\u2019s something people use or need daily. Those are the real money-makers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-e-enthusiasm-nbsp\">E: Enthusiasm&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>You gotta like it<\/em>,\u201d says Robert, \u201c<em>because if you don\u2019t like it, your business probably won\u2019t survive<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There&#8217;s no point in diving into something if you\u2019re not pumped about it. Chances are, you\u2019ll ditch it faster than you can say M-O-N-E-Y T-R-E-E.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plus, being enthusiastic about your venture can heal any \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/money-wounds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">money wounds<\/a>\u201d you might have.
