Catch your thoughts and name them<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>The first thing that people can do is start just catching the thoughts that come into their heads<\/em>,\u201d Miki advises. It\u2019s essentially being what she calls the \u201cwarrior gatekeeper of your mind.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, you\u2019re considering leaving a stable job to start your own business. A thought creeps in: \u201c<em>What if I fail?<\/em>\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is where you catch it and name it\u2014let\u2019s call it \u201cFearful Fred.\u201d Acknowledge Fearful Fred, but then set him aside for a scheduled time\u2014perhaps for a session with a mentor or a moment of personal reflection. This way, Fearful Fred doesn\u2019t overrun your mind and obstruct your day-to-day productivity and creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So whether it\u2019s overcoming self-doubt, facing fears, or making judgments, acknowledging these thoughts allows you to address them constructively. This process is crucial because it helps prevent negative thoughts from spiraling out of control and allows for a clearer mindset to embrace new ideas and opportunities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-put-yourself-in-a-container-of-playfulness\">2. Put yourself in a container of playfulness<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s one powerful word Miki swears by, and that\u2019s \u201c<em>Wow!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>When you walk around in life just saying \u2018wow,\u2019 like a child<\/em>,\u201d she explains, \u201c<em>you literally see things in a different way<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Childlike wonder isn\u2019t just a state of mind; it\u2019s an active practice that involves engaging in activities that evoke joy. In fact, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC3156609\/\">2005 study<\/a> shows that when we\u2019re happy and playful, we\u2019re more likely to think creatively and try new things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The unfortunate thing is, we\u2019re so stuck in this routine of \u201cgo to work,\u201d \u201cgo do this,\u201d \u201cgo do that\u201d that we\u2019ve forgotten how to look around us. However, as Miki points out, \u201c<em>when you get back to your childlike state of curiosity, playfulness, and awe, you can create businesses<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And that\u2019s exactly how WILD, THINX, and TUSHY came about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-understand-the-importance-of-iteration\">3. Understand the importance of iteration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>We are just taught that being perfect is the most important thing<\/em>,\u201d says Miki. It\u2019s not. Iteration, actually, is more crucial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s trying something, using your <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/dantian\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dantian<\/a> to learn from it, and then making it better. It\u2019s about making small changes, step by step, to improve and grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fact of the matter is, the road to success (whatever you define it to be) is never a straight line. It\u2019s more like a path with twists, turns, and heaps of valuable lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So when you iterate, you give yourself room to shift and grow. And in a rollercoaster of a world, it\u2019s a necessity for progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>If we just are focusing on being perfect, we are going to stagnate<\/em>,\u201d Miki adds. \u201c<em>Iteration is perfection.
