The curriculum she and her team create every year for MVU helps kids grow and evolve into the most complete, well-rounded version of themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the thing is, these skills aren\u2019t just nice to have; they determine success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A World Economic Forum report states that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/stories\/2024\/12\/from-classroom-to-career-building-a-future-ready-global-workforce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">65% of children entering school today will work in jobs that don\u2019t yet exist<\/a>. Yet, most schools still focus on rote memorization instead of adaptability, innovation, or problem-solving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What\u2019s more, a study by Harvard University, the Carnegie Foundation, and the Stanford Research Center found that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalsoftskills.org\/downloads\/Mann-1918-Study_of_Engineering_Educ.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">85% of career success comes from soft skills, while only 15% comes from technical knowledge<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>So while schools prioritize the 15%, Mindvalley focuses on the 85%.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-mindvalley-x-learnlife-collaboration\">The Mindvalley x Learnlife collaboration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transformation doesn\u2019t happen alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2024, Mindvalley teamed up with Learnlife, an education movement that\u2019s swapping rigid classrooms for hands-on, passion-fueled learning. But Emma emphasizes that every learner deserves a path to success that works for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>They have the same approach to education as we do<\/em>,\u201d Gigi highlights. They focus on understanding what their life learners need and adapting accordingly, rather than forcing them into a rigid structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>Flexibility and structure are not incompatible<\/em>,\u201d Emma explains. \u201c<em>There is a misconception that offering learners more agency and freedom to have voice and choice in their learning means there is less structure<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s farther than the truth. Emma believes that the future of learning will be less about memorization and more about developing the human skills that AI can\u2019t replace\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/what-is-grit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">grit<\/a>, resilience, creativity, and empathy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>As a mother of three young and very energetic young boys, I see that the world has changed dramatically since I was a child their age, and yet, classrooms have barely changed since I was at school<\/em>,\u201d she shares. \u201c<em>This is not sustainable nor future-proof<\/em>.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead, she envisions an education system that prioritizes well-being, <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/self-awareness\/\">self-<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/self-awareness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">awareness<\/a>, and real-world problem-solving. One that helps kids understand their unique strengths (or \u201cpersonal superpowers,\u201d as she calls them) and gives them the tools to navigate an unpredictable world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But in an increasingly digital age, Emma sees another challenge ahead: knowing how to use technology with intention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>The future of learning will be knowing how to navigate and use tech to our advantage<\/em>,\u201d she explains. At the same time, it\u2019s about finding the right balance, leveraging technology while still making space for creativity, hands-on experiences, and real-world interactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Education should give kids the fortitude to flourish in any career, in any world, at any time\u2014not just prepare them for a single path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-this-means-for-you-and-your-children\">What this means for you and your children<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Picture your child ten years from now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Are they pitching their startup on Shark Tank? In fact, a meta-analysis spanning 43 years found that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/publication\/334741704_A_Meta-Analysis_of_the_Relationship_Between_Experiential_Learning_and_Learning_Outcomes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">kids learn better when they gain real-world experience<\/a> instead of just sitting in a classroom. Another study conducted by RAND Corporation showed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rand.org\/pubs\/research_briefs\/RB9994.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">when learning is tailored to each child, they do better in school<\/a>\u2014no matter where they start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the kind of foundation Mindvalley and Learnlife are building.
