Dear America,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to begin with this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I really, truly do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I lived in your cities. I walked your campuses. I sat in your coffee shops, dreaming of building something that could change the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

America was where I studied. Where I discovered my voice.
Where I fell in love with ideas that reshaped my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where I started Mindvalley, with nothing but ambition and a belief that anything was possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a full decade, you were my home.
And in many ways, you still are.
I may live elsewhere now, but I still identify as American more than anything else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because America\u2014the idea of America\u2014isn\u2019t just geography.
It\u2019s a frequency. A dream. A promise that inspired not just me, but billions of people around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What we loved about you<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We loved your optimism\u2014the way you believed anything was possible.
We loved your rebels\u2014the ones who spoke truth to power and rewrote the rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We loved your Martin Luther King Jr.<\/strong>, whose voice still echoes across continents.
We loved your Silicon Valley<\/strong>, that dared to invent the future.
We loved your Apple<\/strong>, born in a garage, changing the way we connect.
We loved Burning Man<\/strong>, a wild celebration of freedom, creativity, and community in the desert.
We loved your poets, your scientists, your dreamers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You were never perfect. But damn\u2014you had soul.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You were the lighthouse.
The messy, brilliant, complicated beacon we looked toward for what was possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But lately\u2026 that light feels like it\u2019s flickering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What the world sees now<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In just six months, this is what the world has seen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Threats to abandon NATO, the alliance that preserved peace for generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Pointless trade wars where everyone loses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Withdrawal from the Paris Climate Treaty, while the Earth burns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 And now\u2014bombs falling on Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another unwinnable war in the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A war your people swore<\/em> they\u2019d never allow again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not after Iraq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not after Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it’s not just the outer world we see you destroy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We see you tearing yourselves apart from within. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Immigration raids that tear apart families and have caused LA to burn.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Politicians who sound like children while openly taking bribes.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Tax cuts for billionaires, while those struggling now actually have to pay more in taxes.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A climate movement abandoned by the very country where it was born.
    <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    And yet\u2014I\u2019m writing this letter with an open heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Because I haven’t given up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This week, I’m helping my son apply to U.S. universities. We’re preparing for a tour of East Coast campuses. Then, I\u2019m driving from South Dakota to Yosemite, with stops at Mount Rushmore and the great open spaces I fell in love with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I want to show my son America. Because I still believe in what America can<\/em> be. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    But I also cannot stay silent\u2014not as a lover of your culture, not as a global citizen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This spiral you’re in?
    It must be named. And it must be stopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Because true friends don\u2019t stay silent when they see you crashing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The spiral was not a mystery. It was a choice.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Every war.
    Every broken treaty.
    Every erosion of trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    It didn\u2019t just happen. It was chosen through voting decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    By people who, often unknowingly, chose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Ego over empathy.
      <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Charisma over character.
      <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Soundbites over substance.
      <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      And I don\u2019t blame you.
      You were caught in a storm of propaganda. You were tired, misled, afraid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      But we need to be honest:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      When you vote for leaders who enable war, destabilize peace, and govern through vengeance, you are not just voting for policy. You are voting for self-destruction.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      What happened to service?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      A great American president once said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \u201cAsk not what your country can do for you\u2014ask what you can do for your country.\u201d<\/em> \u2013 John F. Kennedy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Another said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \u201cWe must never remain silent in the face of injustice.\u201d <\/em>\u2013 Barack Obama<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Even Ronald Reagan once called America a \u201cshining city upon a hill.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      What happened to that America?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Now we see leaders who sow division instead of unity.
      Who thrive on conflict rather than compassion.
      Who look not to serve, but to rule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      And as Sun Tzu warned:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \u201cSome men would set their own nation ablaze, just to be king over the ashes.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Can you recognize them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Because now more than ever, you must.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      America, you\u2019ve always known how to tell the story. Now it\u2019s time to live<\/em> it.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Think of your heroes.
      The ones you\u2019ve shown us on screen for decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Will Smith in Independence Day<\/em>.
      <\/strong> Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible<\/em>.
      <\/strong> They save the world, not just themselves.
      They protect their families, but they also rise to a higher mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      That\u2019s what made us fall in love with you.
      Your heroes were never selfish.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      They were flawed, yes. But they stood up for something bigger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      So why, in real life, do you so often vote for the opposite?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Your vote is not just yours<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      I say this with love\u2014and urgency:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Your vote doesn\u2019t just affect your neighborhood. It affects the entire planet.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • It affects the air we all breathe.
        <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The treaties we all depend on.
        <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The peace we all hope for.
        <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The future our children will inherit.
        <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        This is no longer about party loyalty or economic policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        This is about consciousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        This is about whether the most powerful country on Earth will continue to operate from fear and ego \u2014
        <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Or rise into wisdom and service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        What the world needs from you now<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        We don\u2019t need another American empire.
        We need an American elder.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Not one who dominates. One who guides.
        Not one who fears. One who serves.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Because you were never meant to be a fortress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        You were meant to be a lighthouse.
        <\/strong>But a lighthouse cannot fulfill its purpose if it forgets to shine inward first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Hoping that the America we believed in is still in there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The next time you march in the streets,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        March for all<\/em> of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Not just for the poor or hungry in your zip code. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        But for the citizens of our shared planet who need you to shine again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        And when the time comes\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Vote with your heart. And with your higher self.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The choice is yours<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Not every election is a turning point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        But some are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        And the one you’re facing now?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        This is that moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        You can vote for leaders who turn the world into a battlefield.
        Or vote for those who understand that true power is service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        You can choose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Ego or evolution
          <\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Division or destiny
          <\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Fear or future
          <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          The world is not asking you to be perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          We are simply asking you to remember who you are, at your best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          The America that marched with MLK.
          That wrote the Moonshot speech.
          That created iPhones, NASA, jazz, and the dream that all humans are created equal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          That\u2019s the America we still believe in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          That\u2019s the America the world needs<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Let that be the America you choose.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
