You launched. Then you marketed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, it\u2019s reversed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Trust now comes first.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And when trust exists <em>before<\/em> you launch:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>customers say yes faster<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>advertising costs drop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>partnerships appear without chasing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This is why companies are being built faster than ever before.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-why-dubai-gets-it\">Why Dubai Gets It<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As I\u2019m writing this, I\u2019m in Dubai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This weekend, from Jan 9-11, Mindvalley is curating a special stage in the 1 Billion<strong> Follower Summit in Dubai<\/strong> which is possibly the largest creator summit in the world, with 30,000 people attending.<br><br><em>(In the special Mindvalley Stage, <\/em><strong><em>our biggest ever &#8211; Social Media Summit<\/em><\/strong><em> is taking place in which we\u2019ll be sharing our amazing curated speakers free LIVE on Zoom.)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I want to point something out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Dubai government understands this shift.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They know that dominating social media isn\u2019t about influencers or vanity metrics.<br>It\u2019s about <strong>strategic advantage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For businesses. For cities. For entire countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because social media created PROOF.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And in a world of AI fakery &#8211; PROOF matters more than ever.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You no longer need <em>years<\/em> to build trust.<br>You need <strong>clarity + consistency + content distribution<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In 2026, social media isn\u2019t a marketing channel. It\u2019s a growth multiplier.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It can recruit customers, attract partnerships, build credibility before you even \u201claunch.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it can do it <em>fast.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-don-t-think-of-social-media-as-content-think-of-it-as-proof\">Don\u2019t Think of Social Media as Content. <br>Think of it as Proof.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s the biggest mistake founders make: They think social media is about <em>content<\/em>.<br>It\u2019s not.<br><strong>Social media is proof.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Proof that: you\u2019re real, you\u2019re building something, you believe in what you\u2019re creating<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And this matters now more than ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re entering an era of <strong>AI slop<\/strong>: AI-generated videos, AI avatars, people cloning themselves<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please hear me clearly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Do not clone yourself.<\/em><\/strong><strong><em><br><\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Do not hide behind AI.<\/em><\/strong><strong><em><br><\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Do not outsource your humanity.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Humanity is developing a deep distrust of anything that feels fake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I see this on my own social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Highly produced videos with perfect lighting often underperform.<br>It was really me, but it could just as well be a polished AI clone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But raw, selfie-style videos, me holding my phone, speaking honestly, unscripted, take off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A spontaneous video I shot in a Miami mall about an airport incident hit <strong>2 million views<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No script. No teleprompter. Just the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is happening everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More rawness. More realness. More humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because <strong>anything that can be faked no longer carries trust<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-founders-are-building-faster-than-ever\">How Founders Are Building Faster Than Ever<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is why <strong><em>building in public<\/em><\/strong> is no longer optional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I recently came across two Duke University students who built a fashion app called <em>Styl<\/em> almost entirely through Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They shared the journey <em>while<\/em> building. They documented progress instead of performing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No massive ad budgets. No years of silence. Social media became the accelerant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This isn\u2019t rare anymore.&nbsp; It\u2019s becoming the default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-ikea-effect-let-people-build-it-with-you\">The IKEA Effect: Let People Build It With You<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s a principle called the <strong>IKEA Effect<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People value what they help build. A psychologist noted that people grew attached to the IKEA furniture because they helped create and assemble it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We experienced this firsthand at Mindvalley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we created <strong>Silva Manifesting in 2014<\/strong>, I didn\u2019t hide the curriculum until launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I put the raw outline into a Google Doc and shared it with our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was messy. Incomplete. Unpolished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I asked:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>What do you like?<br>What would you change?<br>What should we add?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we finally launched, it became <strong>the biggest launch in Mindvalley\u2019s history<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why? Because trust had already been built. The community felt ownership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I recently shared this idea with a female founder launching an online clothing brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was shy about showing up on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I told her:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cYou don\u2019t have to be polished. Wear sunglasses if it helps. Just show the warehouse. Share the frustrations. Be real.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reluctantly, she did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A few weeks later, she told me sales were up <strong>50%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Same product. Same ads. More trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-stop-trying-to-be-a-content-creator\">Stop Trying to Be a Content Creator<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s the identity shift founders need to make:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You are not a content creator. You are a founder using social media to build trust.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019re not posting to entertain strangers. You\u2019re publishing to let people <em>see<\/em> what you\u2019re building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-three-rules-for-leveraged-speed-on-social-media\">Three Rules for \u2018Leveraged Speed\u2019 on Social Media<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to move faster in 2026:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pick one platform you actually enjoy<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Share the journey, not the highlights<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Let people give feedback while you build<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s how trust compounds.
