{"id":79436,"date":"2026-09-09T13:58:24","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T12:58:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.mindvalley.com\/?p=79436"},"modified":"2026-09-09T13:58:26","modified_gmt":"2026-09-09T12:58:26","slug":"the-question-that-changed-my-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mindvalley.com\/blog\/the-question-that-changed-my-life\/","title":{"rendered":"The question that changed the next chapter of my life"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">12 weeks ago, someone shared with me a statement that has since profoundly impacted the trajectory of my life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I want to tell you the story because, for many of you, this will impact you too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was sitting at Soho House in Stockholm. I came to Stockholm to attend a longevity conference. I assembled people around me: founders, a few Mindvalley authors, close friends.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I asked them an important question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;d gathered them because I was confused.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I wanted the truth from people who wouldn&#8217;t flatter me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here&#8217;s what I asked:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;I love teaching. But this past year I&#8217;ve been teaching so many different things, and I keep wondering what would happen if I focused on one. Among the areas of manifesting, entrepreneurship, AI, personal growth, and influence, what would you most want to hear me speak about?&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Across from me sat a brilliant doctor and speaker named Babak Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And what he said stopped me cold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;Vishen, the manifesting work is cool. But plenty of people do that. The one thing you&#8217;re truly the best in the world at, the thing that has my full attention, is turning someone who is an expert into an authority. You&#8217;ve done it for hundreds of authors. For WildFit. For Lifebook. For Marisa Peer. For Jim Kwik. For Regan Hillyer. You&#8217;ve built world-class names. Some of them are globally recognized. After two decades, you must have a system because I don&#8217;t know anyone else who&#8217;s done this a hundred times, for a hundred different people. What&#8217;s the method? Teach that. And I&#8217;ll take notes.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I sat with it for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>It&#8217;s the one thing I&#8217;m possibly truly one of the best in the world at.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I know how to take an expert nobody has heard of and make them a name people flock to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I know how to take a founder with a brilliant product that can&#8217;t get seen, and help them tell their story so clearly that people start chasing them instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I know how to take a webinar and turn it into an engine that floods a company with leads.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I did that for Lifebook \u2014 a 12-year-old company \u2014 and grew their revenue 300% in a few months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I know how to make a world-class teacher into a globally recognized name. I did that with Marisa Peer in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I know how to build a video ad that makes a teacher famous. The campaign we built for Jim Kwik took him from 50,000 Instagram followers to two million. At its peak, it drove $20 million A YEAR for his program Superbrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ve done this more than a hundred times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here&#8217;s what Babak Amen actually gave me that afternoon. It wasn&#8217;t a compliment. It was clarity. Because I realized I don&#8217;t just know how to do this thing \u2014 I know how to teach it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s the realization moving me into a new chapter of my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why this becomes my legacy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Mindvalley, we&#8217;ve always dreamed of touching a billion lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After 20 years, we&#8217;ve reached about 20 million people directly. To take the gifted and the unknown, the ones with something real to give, and help the world actually receive them. I know the system that does this. So I&#8217;m going to give it away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;m starting with a summit. We spent his last year before university traveling the world together, learning together because any parent will tell you the hard math: you spend about 90% of the time you&#8217;ll ever have with your child before they turn eighteen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So this September 18, for the first time, Hayden&#8217;s at university. And a lot of time has opened up in my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I could let that become sadness. The quiet grief that hits so many parents when the house goes still.
