I absolutely agree with that and here’s what I want to add…<\/span><\/p>\n

Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything… or anyone.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Coaching is about creating positive change and transformation in your clients…<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And before you can help create this transformation for them, you need to be able to do that for yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n

As master coach Rich Litvin says, “You can’t take your clients any deeper than you’ve gone yourself.<\/em>“<\/span><\/p>\n

This means focusing on your mindset.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This means getting to know the real you.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If you want to be a great coach you need to coach.<\/span><\/span><\/h6>\n

And not just coach once in a while but all-the-time.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Here’s a secret not many people talk about…<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

World-class coaches — I’m talking about those who have a thriving business and a long list of clients who can’t wait to work with them — view the act of coaching from a very different perspective than other coaches.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To them, coaching is more than a job, it’s more than an activity or a task…<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To them, <\/span><\/span>coaching is a way of life<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a>.<\/strong> A way of being.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And that’s why they coach all the time. They coach friends, family members, and people they meet…<\/span><\/p>\n

They’re always looking for opportunities to coach and they don’t wait to be in a formal coaching session…<\/span><\/p>\n

And sometimes, they even do it for free.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In my book, The Book of Coaching<\/a> (find out more in the Next<\/a> Step section of this guide) I talk about how I coached a client who couldn’t afford my rate.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So, I did it for free.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He found so much value in that one session that he talked about me to just about everyone he knew.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Connections and introductions were made and, next thing I knew, I had new paying clients.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Because the truth is, coach is another word for help.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Think about how you can help\/coach as many people as you can.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If you want to build a successful business that attracts a consistent flow of clients, you must take your coaching skills to the highest level…<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And you can only do that when you coach, coach, coach…<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And then coach some more!<\/span><\/p>\n

For the next few days, look at your life and your world as a massive coaching platform and step into “coaching mode” every chance you get.<\/p>\n

Approach everyone in your life and everyone you meet with this question in mind, “How can I help them?”<\/strong> Allow coaching conversations to happen organically.<\/p>\n

At the end of each day, answer the following questions for each person you talk to:<\/p>\n

1. What did I do well?2. What could I have done better?3. What is my key takeaway from this conversation?<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Do this for 7 to 10 days and you’ll notice a shift…<\/p>\n

Do this for 3 weeks and you’ll experience a massive uplevel in your coaching skills and your confidence as a coach.<\/p>\n
