Self-determination theory<\/h2>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">This first theory is directly connected with intrinsic motivation.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Using deep discovery to help our clients find their big WHY for doing the things they do in order to change their behavior and create a sustainable change.<\/p>\n<h2 data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">2. Transtheoretical model of behavior change<\/h2>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Created by psychology professor and researcher Jim Prochaska, this theory is based on the five stages of change we, as human beings, go through.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">It\u2019s vital for coaches and clients to understand the forces and causes that produce those five stages to support the transformation better.<\/p>\n<h2 data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">3. Motivational interviewing<\/h2>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">This theory was created to help clients understand their own motivation and find small steps forward through a series of exercises and reflective questions.<\/p>\n<h2 data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">4.
