You\u2019ll be confident. You\u2019ll be certain. You\u2019ll be passionate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">You won\u2019t have that nagging inner voice that says,\u00a0<em data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">\u201cThe client doesn\u2019t like me\u201d,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">or\u00a0<\/span><em data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">\u201cI don\u2019t know what I\u2019m doing,\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">or the always popular,\u00a0<em data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">\u201cThis program\/product\/service is too expensive. I can\u2019t sell this!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">What I\u2019m about to say might seem a little \u201cout there,\u201d but keep an open mind\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Fear is contagious. When you feel fearful, your client will pick up on this on a subconscious level.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">And this is usually the real reason they don\u2019t buy from you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">They can feel your fear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Ask yourself this: would you purchase anything from a fearful salesperson? A house? A car? Even a bottle of perfume?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">As a coach, you must give your clients a reason to feel confident in you, your skills, and your expertise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">They need to know you can guide them to success. They need to know you\u2019ll be there to support them whenever they need you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">You can\u2019t convey this level of confidence if you\u2019re coming from a place of fear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Write this:<\/strong><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\"> Reflect on this question: what would you do differently in your next sales conversation if you had no fear? Write the action steps that come to mind and take these actions in your next sales conversation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>3. Selling isn\u2019t natural<\/h2>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Unlike breathing, we aren\u2019t born knowing how to sell. This may seem obvious, but too often, we forget this simple yet powerful truth.<\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Some people may have a natural ability to sell, but even the most gifted salesperson has to learn how to do it well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Selling is a skill.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\" data-uw-rm-mod=\"\">And this means that with practice, you can master sales conversations, even if you think you are the worst salesperson you\u2019ve ever known.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">I\u2019m not saying it will happen overnight. I\u2019m not saying it\u2019s going to be easy. I\u2019m saying it can be done, and it\u2019s actually a lot less complicated than you think.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">The key is to keep practicing and to look for opportunities to fine-tune your selling skills.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">There are excellent books, programs, and courses focused on teaching people how to sell.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">These great resources will allow you to cut down on your learning curve and accelerate your selling skills.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Try this:<\/strong><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">\u00a0This week, set aside 60 minutes to research great books, seminars, courses, or programs that will help you uplevel your selling skills. Extra points if you find one that\u2019s designed for coaches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Yes, it would be awesome if we lived in a reality where clients magically appeared and we never needed to sell. Ever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">But we don\u2019t live in that reality.
