A lot of it is misguided, out of date, or just wrong.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">After hundreds and hundreds of hours spent in coaching sessions and working with coaches around the world, I\u2019ve come to realize there are only a handful of growth strategies that will help you rapidly build a successful, profitable\u00a0<a style=\"outline: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mindvalley.com\/ultimate-guide-on-how-to-start-a-coaching-business?utm_source=blog_hyperlink&amp;utm_campaign=evergreen_sycb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uw-styling-context=\"true\" aria-label=\"coaching business - opens in new tab\" data-uw-rm-brl=\"false\" data-uw-rm-ext-link=\"na\">coaching business<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Some of them may seem strange, but they work.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Here are 4 of my personal favorites.<\/p>\n<h2 data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">1. Make yourself replaceable<\/h2>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">If you\u2019re involved in every aspect of your coaching business, you\u2019re headed for disaster. Growth and expansion can happen only when you \u201clet go\u201d and make yourself dispensable.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">This means allowing others to take over specific roles.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Make a list of all the tasks and activities that are outside the actual coaching work that you do\u2014this could be copywriting, design, or technical aspects of the business.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">When you have this list, commit to outsourcing at least one of the tasks to someone else as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">You might want to hire a virtual assistant for a few hours each week, a copywriter, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upsilonit.com\/blog\/cto-as-a-service-caas-for-startups-comprehensive-guide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" aria-label=\"outsourced CTO - open in a new tab\" data-uw-rm-ext-link=\"\">outsourced CTO,<\/a> or someone who can handle tech.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">It doesn\u2019t matter how you do it, but you must get it done.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">You cannot scale your business if you\u2019re the only one running it\u2026<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">And you\u2019ll never achieve the impact and income you want.<\/p>\n<h2 data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">2. Especially the unsuccessful ones.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Saying no\u2014more than you say yes\u2014is one of the most powerful and effective productivity hacks in the world.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">The truth is building a successful coaching business is hard work.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Sometimes it\u2019s extremely hard work.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">It\u2019s going to take almost an inhuman amount of effort to get to your goals.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">If you say yes to every favor, every project, every offer to partner up, or every \u201copportunity\u201d to contribute your expertise\u2026<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">You\u2019re going to end up with no time, no energy, and no business left to run.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Learn to be discerning and decisive. Only say yes to projects that move you toward your goals.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">It\u2019s going to be tough, but you owe it yourself and your dreams to prioritize your success\u2026<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">And that\u2019s what you\u2019re doing when you say no to anything that does not move your business forward.<\/p>\n<h2 data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">4. Set an uncomfortable price<\/h2>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">You started a coaching business to serve others, but you also did it to make money and create an income.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">There\u2019s nothing wrong with accepting money when you add value and create transformational results\u2026<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">But many coaches don\u2019t want to admit this.
