You\u2019ll see over two million results come up.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s a ton of information to work through.<\/p>\n

The worst part? A lot of it is misguided, out of date, or just wrong.<\/p>\n

After hundreds and hundreds of hours spent in coaching sessions and working with coaches around the world, I\u2019ve come to realize there are only a handful of growth strategies that will help you rapidly build a successful, profitable\u00a0coaching business<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Some of them may seem strange, but they work.<\/p>\n

Here are 4 of my personal favorites.<\/p>\n

1. Make yourself replaceable<\/h2>\n

If you\u2019re involved in every aspect of your coaching business, you\u2019re headed for disaster. Growth and expansion can happen only when you \u201clet go\u201d and make yourself dispensable.<\/p>\n

This means allowing others to take over specific roles.<\/p>\n

Make a list of all the tasks and activities that are outside the actual coaching work that you do\u2014this could be copywriting, design, or technical aspects of the business.<\/p>\n

When you have this list, commit to outsourcing at least one of the tasks to someone else as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

You might want to hire a virtual assistant for a few hours each week, a copywriter, an outsourced CTO,<\/a> or someone who can handle tech.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t matter how you do it, but you must get it done.<\/p>\n

You cannot scale your business if you\u2019re the only one running it\u2026<\/p>\n

And you\u2019ll never achieve the impact and income you want.<\/p>\n

2. Fire your clients<\/h2>\n

Not all of them, of course. Just the ones that aren\u2019t a good fit.<\/p>\n

Your job is to coach people who can benefit the most from your unique skills and expertise\u2014these are your ideal clients.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not your responsibility to help everyone.<\/p>\n

When you stay with clients who aren\u2019t a good fit, you run the risk of destroying your reputation.<\/p>\n

Clients who don\u2019t love your methods and your style will be the first to \u201cspread the news\u201d that you\u2019re a bad coach.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t blame them.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s your responsibility to identify your ideal client persona and then work only with people who fit this identity.<\/p>\n

Not theirs.<\/p>\n

Yes, it can be scary to turn away clients or let your clients go\u2014especially if you\u2019re a new coach \u2013 but this is the smartest way to a successful, sustainable coaching business\u00a0<\/a>in the long term.<\/p>\n

3. Say no<\/h2>\n

Yes, it is about expansion. Yes, it is about growth. Yes, it is about becoming known.<\/p>\n

This is what a lot of business owners believe. Especially the unsuccessful ones.<\/p>\n

Saying no\u2014more than you say yes\u2014is one of the most powerful and effective productivity hacks in the world.<\/p>\n

The truth is building a successful coaching business is hard work.<\/p>\n

Sometimes it\u2019s extremely hard work.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s going to take almost an inhuman amount of effort to get to your goals.<\/p>\n

If you say yes to every favor, every project, every offer to partner up, or every \u201copportunity\u201d to contribute your expertise\u2026<\/p>\n

You\u2019re going to end up with no time, no energy, and no business left to run.<\/p>\n

Learn to be discerning and decisive. Only say yes to projects that move you toward your goals.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s going to be tough, but you owe it yourself and your dreams to prioritize your success\u2026<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s what you\u2019re doing when you say no to anything that does not move your business forward.<\/p>\n

4. Set an uncomfortable price<\/h2>\n

You started a coaching business to serve others, but you also did it to make money and create an income.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s nothing wrong with accepting money when you add value and create transformational results\u2026<\/p>\n

But many coaches don\u2019t want to admit this. They feel \u201cashamed\u201d or \u201cgreedy\u201d or \u201cselfish,\u201d and this is a major problem.<\/p>\n

When it comes to pricing their\u00a0packages<\/a>, programs, and services, these coaches get stuck.<\/p>\n

They worry about it, sweat over it, and get crazy trying to make a decision.<\/p>\n
