And for good reason.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Just type in the words \u2018sales funnels for coaches\u2019 and you\u2019ll get over 14 million results in Google alone.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">However, if the concept of funnels is nothing new, then why are we seeing a tidal wave of \u2018sales funnel\u2019 talk in recent times?<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">It\u2019s simple and it boils down to one word.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Freedom.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">And that is a good reason like no other.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Although setting up the best funnel for coaches can be complicated and are an investment of one\u2019s time; transition: all 0s ease 0s;\" href=\"https:\/\/cseo.com\/blog\/sales-funnel-will-build-your-ecommerce-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" aria-label=\"sales funnel - opens in new tab\" data-uw-styling-context=\"true\" data-uw-rm-brl=\"false\" data-uw-rm-ext-link=\"na\">sales funnel<\/a>\u00a0is essential because you want to lead your prospects to a sale at some point in the sales process.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">If you fail to do that often, then you aren\u2019t making money.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Instead you\u2019re building the \u2018nice to haves\u2019 such as a huge email list but with unqualified non-ideal clients who\u2019ll never buy from you.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">A perfectly set up sales funnel can bring an inflow of cash, help recoup your advertising costs and bring in some nice passive income.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">\u201c<em data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Not too shabby<\/em>\u201d, you may think.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">But having said that, not everyone needs a sales funnel.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\"><strong data-uw-styling-context=\"true\"><em data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">A sales coaching funnel is not for you if you are a newbie coach or entrepreneur.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">How to create a sales funnel for your coaching business in 4 steps<\/h2>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">As a\u00a0<a style=\"outline: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mindvalley.com\/blog\/how-to-become-a-new-coach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" aria-label=\"new coach - opens in new tab\" data-uw-styling-context=\"true\" data-uw-rm-brl=\"false\" data-uw-rm-ext-link=\"na\">new coach<\/a>,\u00a0your time is best spent getting clear on who\u2019s your ideal client, what are their pain points and how can you best serve them with your skills and experiences.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">In order to create a coaching funnel, you need to have crystal clarity about your ideal client, your offers and score a few paying clients.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Once you have this going for you, you know what offers will convert when you include them in your sales funnel.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">There are four steps to creating your first simple sales funnel. Let\u2019s look at each of these:<\/p>\n<h3 data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">1. Build awareness<\/h3>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">In this step, you must create content to <a style=\"outline: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mindvalley.com\/ultimate-guide-to-social-media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" aria-label=\"spread awareness about your message - opens in new tab\" data-uw-styling-context=\"true\" data-uw-rm-brl=\"false\" data-uw-rm-ext-link=\"na\">spread awareness about your message<\/a> or topic of expertise.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">It\u2019s tempting to skip this step and go straight into creating your free gift or a <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/9-lead-magnets-to-increase-subscribers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uw-rm-brl=\"false\" aria-label=\"lead magnet - opens in new tab\" data-uw-rm-ext-link=\"\">lead magnet<\/a>, run Facebook ads to it and start building your list.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">But the problem with running FB ads (if you\u2019ve never run them before) is that you are marketing to cold traffic.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">The definition of cold traffic is an audience who\u2019s never heard of you, never bought from you, don\u2019t like you and nor do they trust you yet.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">So, chances are that the quality of subscribers you\u2019ll get through the ad campaign may not be the type who\u2019ll be your ideal audience.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Not to mention that running FB ads can be very expensive at this stage, and it&#8217;s definitely not an investment you want to make from the get-go if you&#8217;re just getting started or trying to turn your coaching side hustle into your full-time career.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\"><strong data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">So,<em data-uw-styling-context=\"true\"> how do we warm up our cold traffic and attract the high-quality leads in our funnel without ad spend?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\"><a style=\"outline: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mindvalley.com\/blog\/content-creating-ideas-in-less-than-15-minutes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" aria-label=\"Create epic content - opens in new tab\" data-uw-styling-context=\"true\" data-uw-rm-brl=\"false\" data-uw-rm-ext-link=\"na\">Create epic content.<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Your content at this step must be about highlighting your ideal client\u2019s problems and hint at the solution(s) you provide. Your content can achieve this by educating, inspiring and even entertaining your audience.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">So, <a style=\"outline: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mindvalley.com\/ultimate-guide-to-content-creation\/how-to-create-content\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" aria-label=\"what are the different types of content you can create - opens in new tab\" data-uw-styling-context=\"true\" data-uw-rm-brl=\"false\" data-uw-rm-ext-link=\"na\">what are the different types of content you can create<\/a>?<\/p>\n<ul data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Blog posts (these go right at the top of your list)<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin)<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Whitepapers<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Podcast interviews<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">YouTube videos<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">You don\u2019t have to create all of these of course. Pick one or two platforms that you feel most comfortable with and in which you&#8217;d enjoy creating content for, and do it consistently.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">The key thing to take note of is that whatever content you create in this step must strongly correlate to your Lead Magnet (step 2) that you are giving as a free gift in exchange for your prospect\u2019s email address.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">If your content is about \u2018A\u2019 in step 1 and your Lead Magnet is about \u2018B\u2019 in step 2, there\u2019s a disconnect and you\u2019ll repel your audience from moving forward in the funnel.<\/p>\n<h3 data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">2. Create your lead magnet (or free gift)<\/h3>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Now that you have warmed up your cold audience in Step 1, it\u2019s safe to ask them to commit on a slightly deeper level to you.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\"><em data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">How do you do that?<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">By creating an irresistible lead magnet or a free gift that you give your warm audience in exchange for their email address.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Three words that should be echoing in your mind as you go about creating your lead magnet.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Specific. Quick. Consumable.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Your lead magnet must solve a specific problem that your ideal clients struggle with.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">So that problem you\u2019ve highlighted in Step 1?<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Your lead magnet must take a deep dive and provide a solution to that specific problem.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">So, skip the fluff and generics at this stage and don\u2019t hold back on your best tips, tricks and how-to&#8217;s on solving this problem.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">But there\u2019s a caveat&#8230;<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">The caveat is that your solution contained in the lead magnet must be quick and in a consumable format.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">So, the question you want to ask is\u00a0<strong data-uw-styling-context=\"true\"><em data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">\u201cwhat is the ONE quick win or result that my ideal client can implement right away after consuming my lead magnet?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">When your lead magnet <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/OCTnB4xRigw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" aria-label=\"creates quick wins - opens in new tab\" data-uw-styling-context=\"true\" data-uw-rm-brl=\"false\" data-uw-rm-ext-link=\"na\">creates quick wins<\/a> or results for your ideal clients, they are highly likely to stay on your email list and trust you because you\u2019ve delivered quick (but temporary) relief in the shortest time.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">And that brings me to my last point.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Your content must be in a consumable format. Something that your ideal client picks up and goes through it within an hour.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Some effective and consumable lead magnet formats are:<\/p>\n<ol data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Checklists<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Cheat sheets or Templates<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Whitepapers<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Swipe files<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Scripts<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Infographics<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Audios<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Videos<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Once your lead magnet is created, you\u2019ll want to\u00a0<a style=\"outline: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/cseo.com\/blog\/sales-funnel-will-build-your-ecommerce-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" aria-label=\"drive traffic - opens in new tab\" data-uw-styling-context=\"true\" data-uw-rm-brl=\"false\" data-uw-rm-ext-link=\"na\">drive traffic<\/a>\u00a0to it.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">You can strategically mention your lead magnet in all your free content (step 1), position a link to the landing page and prompt your traffic to opt-in.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">So, let\u2019s assume your lead magnet is a clear winner and you\u2019ve got leads signing up for it.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">The third step in your funnel is where the fun begins&#8230;<\/p>\n<h3 data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">3. Sell your introductory offer<\/h3>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">If you want to convert your subscribers into buyers then here\u2019s where your lead magnet must fail\u2026.it must fail to provide the complete solution to the problem.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Or put another way, your lead magnet must be useful yet incomplete.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">And this is where step 3 comes into play.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">For this step, you offer an introductory offer that is strongly related to the lead magnet (and your free content from step 1).<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\" data-uw-rm-sr=\"\">The intro offer is deeply discounted or at a no-brainer price (think less than $50) that it\u2019s hard to pass up by your new subscriber.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">This is a one-time offer (found nowhere else) you make available on your thank you page as soon as someone opt-ins to get on your email list.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Some will buy and some won\u2019t. And that\u2019s okay.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">The psychology behind the introductory offer is not turn it into a revenue generator.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Instead it serves three purposes:<\/p>\n<ol data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Recoups FB ad investment.<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Makes the first sale (confidence booster for you the coach).<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Increases the possibility of a repeat sale (if prospect has bought once, she is more than likely to buy again).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">You\u2019re probably thinking, <em data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">&#8220;that it seems unfair to make a \u2018one-time offer at a no-brainer price\u2019 on your thank you page to someone who just subscribed to your list.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">No sweat.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">If the subscribers don\u2019t take up on your offer on the thank you page, they get a second chance when you present them with this same offer (priced slightly higher than the thank you page offer) in your email nurture sequence.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">And even then, for whatever reason they don\u2019t buy the intro offer, they will be sent down an email sequence which will pitch your core offer (coming up).<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">So, what kind of introductory offers can you make?<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">There\u2019s no shortage of ideas!<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Here are some:<\/p>\n<ul data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">A module from your digital <a style=\"outline: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mindvalley.com\/ultimate-guide-on-creating-online-coaching-courses?utm_source=blog_hyperlink&amp;utm_campaign=evergreen_bboc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" aria-label=\"coaching course - opens in new tab\" data-uw-styling-context=\"true\" data-uw-rm-brl=\"false\" data-uw-rm-ext-link=\"na\">coaching course<\/a><\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">A month\u2019s trial in your membership community<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">A coaching or consulting call<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Video or an audio course<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">A paid challenge (Facebook group challenge that you offer as an intro offer)<\/li>\n<li data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Website audit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">One last thing to keep in mind for your intro offer is that it must offer your ideal clients a partial transformation in the area they are struggling with.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Not TOTAL transformation.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">This is important because just like the lead magnet in step 2, your intro offer must be useful but incomplete.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">If you were to give away the full experience and results, then your potential client would probably no longer need your support anymore, and would not continue the journey with you.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">It must compel your new buyer to get the whole package from you&#8230; aka your core offer.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">And that brings me to the last and final step&#8230;<\/p>\n<h3 data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">4. Sell your core offer<\/h3>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">They say all roads lead to Rome.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">And that is true with the steps in your sales coaching funnel leading to your core offer.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">Your core offer is your signature service or program.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">And it must provide a total 100% transformation for your ideal client.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-styling-context=\"true\">What can you offer as a core product?
