I used to think I could survive on less than 6 hours of sleep a night. I had, for years, bought into the dangerous myth that:
“Busy, productive people need less sleep. Sleep is for lazy people.”
I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Ironically, hacking my sleep so I could get more done had the exact opposite effect. Sure, I was awake longer. But at the cost of my productivity and focus at work. Not to mention the damage I was doing to my health, body and emotional states.
That was until I met Dr. Michael Breus, who has since become my personal sleep doctor.
Today, I sleep more than ever before.
And I even take naps (which Michael will teach you how to do in this Quest) in the middle of the day if I need to.
Yet despite being awake less, I find myself getting more done now than I ever did on less sleep because I’m simply more productive, energetic and creative.
This was such a transformative shift that I wanted sleep to be part of the way we work here at Mindvalley. Which is why we built private sleeping pods in our new Mindvalley office for our employees to take naps in the middle of the workday so they can perform at their best.
Bottom line: Getting the right amount of deep, restful sleep can dramatically improve every aspect of your life. From your decision-making, your emotional wellbeing, your productivity, your weight, and even your relationships.
