PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Achievements Built a fully automated social media intelligence system for the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) from scratch — monitoring 33+ Regional Football Association pages, professional clubs, national organizations, and media outlets across the Philippines. The system runs every Monday with zero manual scraping, surfaces the top stories, generates Taglish Facebook post drafts, and delivers a branded executive brief PDF to PFF leadership — all within 45 minutes of active work.

Tools Claude (Anthropic) — system design, JSON configuration, Python scripting, content drafting, executive brief generation; Apify (Facebook Posts Scraper actor with residential proxies); Python (reportlab for PDF generation, pandas/csv for data processing); Airtable (RFA Directory with 46 regional associations); Facebook Public Pages (as data source across 5 tiers).

Methodology Designed a 5-tier scraping architecture (RFA Weekly, Clubs, NatOrg, Media, Global) with automated schedules staggered across the week. Conducted a full URL audit of 31 RFA pages — removing dead pages, duplicates, and miscategorized entries — resulting in 25 clean, active URLs. Built a football keyword filter (40+ terms) to strip non-relevant content from media tier. Framed all outputs in strategic intelligence format for executive consumption, not raw data dumps. Also identified the limits of automation (Facebook Groups API deprecated April 2024) and designed a manual Community Pulse monitoring protocol for fan communities.

Learnings

- AI is most powerful when applied to a real, unsolvable-at-scale problem — not as a demo

- System design matters more than individual tools; the 5-tier architecture is what makes it scalable

- Residential proxies are essential for scraping public Facebook pages reliably

- Executive outputs must be framed around decisions, not data — same information, completely different value

- Knowing what AI can't do (scrape Groups) is as important as knowing what it can
