A full product spec and a working three-screen mockup for a dating app built around video dates, made solo in Claude Code.
This builder took a dating app idea from pain point to a clickable mockup, alone, using Claude Code. What stands out is the care in every choice, from the fonts to a match flow that asks for a video date before any messaging. It shows how far one person can get with a clear method and the right tools.

Before
They had a product idea for a new kind of dating experience but no written spec and nothing on screen. The idea lived in concepts: matching, intent, an astrology layer. There was no team to build it with.

The turning point
They worked through a Dream, Design, Develop framework, starting with the pain point and user stories before any screens. Then they mapped screens and flows, and used Claude Code to build a coded mockup to test the visual direction before touching database or backend work.
After
They now have a full spec in a structured PRD template and a working three-screen HTML mockup: Match Feed, Match Detail and Video Date Scheduler. The look is deliberate, set in Cormorant Garamond and Marcellus. It is pre-launch and ready for the next stage of building.
What it lets people do
The design asks people to meet on a video date before messaging, filtering for people with real intent before conversation starts. An astrology pillar called Ancestral Intelligence adds another layer to how matches are understood.
What they learned
They learned that naming matters: they called the astrology pillar "Ancestral Intelligence" rather than naming the Jewish and Vedic traditions it draws from in the product itself. They also learned to test the visual direction with a mockup first, so the product's structure serves its purpose before backend work begins.
