A hands-off AI engine now writes and sends a luxury travel newsletter
An n8n and AI workflow that scans travel news, picks three luxury-for-less escapes from NYC and emails them with no manual work.
This student set out to build a newsletter that runs itself, and did. Bliss Trips reads two days of travel news, chooses destinations, adds cultural context and lands in inboxes on a schedule. It is a clear picture of what one person can wire together with automation and AI.
Before
They wanted a luxury travel newsletter grounded in real flight deals, but producing one by hand means hunting news, writing, formatting and sending every time. Email itself is a hard medium too: layouts break, images fail to load, and AI output can wander off structure.
“Email UX ≠ web UX: tables, inline CSS, and conservative HTML win every time”

The turning point
During the program they built the whole thing as one end-to-end workflow in n8n, with an AI agent connected to NewsAPI, Wikipedia and a strict output parser. The key realisation was that the AI works best when it is held to a clear schema, which ended the formatting breaks and invented layouts.
“AI is most powerful when boxed in by structure, not left open-ended”

After
Now a scheduled trigger starts the workflow, the agent selects three high-value destinations, and a mobile-first HTML email goes out through Gmail on a bi-weekly cadence. The newsletter arrives ready to read on any device, with tap-friendly buttons and contact links.
What it lets people do
Readers get a curated set of luxury-for-less trips from NYC, each tied to real deal signals and enriched with background and activities. The person running it gets a publication that keeps going without anyone touching it.
What they learned
They learned that email has its own rules, and that tables, inline CSS and conservative HTML win. Above all, structure makes AI reliable, and fewer tools with clearer rules make for faster, steadier workflows.
“Fewer tools + clearer rules = faster, more reliable AI workflows”
