Built AI tools used in over 1,100 conversations across entire organization

Quick summary

Tracie built three custom AI coaching tools for her network marketing organization, generating over 1,100 conversations. She designed scripted flows instead of open prompts, embedding compliance into the tools themselves, and trained corporate staff to publish independently using Claude.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Renew is Purium's convention, so that ballroom was not my own team. It was Brand Partners from across the whole organization showing up as one. The night before I spoke, the company told the room from the main stage to go up to their rooms and download ChatGPT so they could follow along the next day. That was the starting line.

What I gave them, none of which shows a prompt

- Future Self Letter and Daily Message. A partner is interviewed one question at a time, and the tool assembles a six-part letter in their own words, signed by their future self. It then sends daily encouragement drawn from that letter, with a rotating mantra, a commitment ask, and one coaching question.

- Story Coach. Turns a raw personal story into a compliant one, and offers to reshape it for a reel, a caption, or a call.

- Permalink Maker. Builds a working Purium cart or enrollment link from a plain-English request, from a catalog of roughly 100 products, with the gift code held once and reused.

Reach

- Past eleven hundred conversations through those tools

- The letter carried across the whole organization, not only my team

- Daily check-in messages are where the coaching actually happened, in a way partners told me themselves would reach them

At corporate level

- Brought Claude to Purium's corporate office for their new blog, taught the staff, and installed Skills so the work would hold its shape

- Their team has been publishing without me ever since

TOOLS

- Three ChatGPT Custom GPTs, instruction-only with no plugins or browsing, so everything they do is prompt design

- Claude and Claude Design for the training material

- Suno for the original music that opened the convention talk

- AI-generated slides

- Claude Code, Claude Design, Supabase and Netlify behind the planner

METHODOLOGY

Designing for the room I actually had.

1. Established the level before building. The company telling that room to download ChatGPT the night before meant I was building for people whose first day with AI was the same day as my talk.

2. Made every tool a scripted flow rather than a prompt. Fixed welcome, one question at a time, a template that assembles the result. The partner supplies their life; the tool supplies the structure.

3. Put compliance in the instruction file, not a policy document. The tool is told not to give product details, pricing, or promotion information, and to send people to their up-team for those.

4. Built the feedback loop inside the tool. It asks every ten days how the messages are landing.

5. Shipped it live on stage, then listened. What partners said it became for them shaped everything that followed.

6. Held the boundary instead of widening the tool. When a partner tried to use it for qualifying-volume math on a team call, I told her that is what her upline is for, and that the tool is there to coach her rather than hand her the tactical pieces.

The Story Coach, where coaching and compliance turned out to be the same move. It asks what difference a result made, then what changed day to day, then what that did for the people around you. Each answer moves the story further from the product and further from the body, until the claim is about being present with your family, where a health claim is not structurally possible.

A partner asked it to help her share that her vertigo and arthritis were gone. What came back never named either condition. It described feeling dizzy and off balance, then feeling steadier and moving more freely, and closed in her own voice: she could not promise anyone else's experience but would never stop being grateful for hers. She read it aloud and said she had not said anything about vertigo or arthritis in there.

The same standard applies to what AI produces for me. When my compensation-plan material claimed a promotion capped at three per week, it had quietly borrowed that number from a different promotion that genuinely does cap at three. I did not supply the correct figure. I said the claim was false and that the basics have to be accurate before anything scaled can be built on them, which forced a check against the source documents instead of a swap to another asserted number. A week earlier a different error produced the rule I have used since: read all 224 extracts before writing anything else.

For the corporate work I inverted the loop.

1. Gave Claude Purium's own brand identity documents and had it build a reviewer Skill from them, rather than writing the rubric myself.

2. Made it prove itself on four cases run twice, once with the Skill and once without, including one written to tempt it with an income claim under time pressure.

3. Approved a single change: the overall rating can never be better than the worst individual finding.

4. Had the whole thing packaged as an installation guide for Purium staff, with every reference to my own systems stripped out.

LEARNINGS

- The measure of whether AI helped is not whether people learned to prompt. It is whether their work got easier.

- Handing someone a link is not the same as empowering them. We are not link senders. The point was never to pass a tool off and hope, it was to be the person wielding it, and that is what I was teaching underneath the tools themselves.

- What came back surprised me. I built a letter and a daily message; partners described a nudge against the daily weeds, a way into personal inner work, a reason to call specific people, a daily confidant. The gap between what you build and what it becomes for someone is the part I pay attention to now.
