With no technical training, they designed a full client portal before writing
A complete Airtable data architecture and a six-screen interactive mockup, shaped by real feedback before a line of code.
This student had no technical background, yet designed the full data architecture and an interactive prototype for a client portal. What stands out is the discipline: they validated with real people first and kept changes cheap. It is a clear picture of what thinking like a builder can look like, coding skills or not.
Portal de clientes
Before
They had no technical training and no background in software. They ran programs for clients under their own brand, and wanted a portal where clients could log in, work through content and respond. Building something like that seemed to belong to people who could code.

The turning point
In AI Mastery they followed the app-building guide shared in the program and used the skills built into Claude Code to validate the idea before programming. They chose not to skip the design stage to rush a result. Feedback from two people went into the mockup and the specification, where changes are cheap, not into finished code.
“Que no hace falta saber programar para pensar como builder”
In their own words
After
They designed a three-table Airtable structure for clients, content and responses, with deliberate choices: shared content never duplicated per client, separate access codes per program, and automatic tracking of what is pending. They built a six-screen interactive mockup with their real brand, from login and a progressively unlocking dashboard to an admin panel. One concrete change from feedback: the order of meditation and written reflection was swapped. The database is now being built and the project is ready for the software build.
What it lets people do
Clients get one place to log in, unlock their program step by step, work through a workbook and practise with a custom AI assistant. The person running the programs gets an admin view where pending work is tracked automatically.
What they learned
They learned you do not need to know how to program to think like a builder. Designing, validating with real feedback and documenting before building is what makes an MVP make sense. The real leap was deciding, together with AI, what goes in this version and what waits.
“El salto real no fue técnico — fue aprender a decidir en conjunto con la IA qué va en esta versión y qué queda para después.”
In their own words
Portal de clientes was built during AI Mastery.
