Before
Ollie's work sits in one of the hardest corners of HR: restructuring and layoffs across Europe. Employment legislation there is among the most complex in the world, and each country has its own rules. Getting clear answers often meant spending quite a bit of money on lawyers.

The turning point
In the very first session with Dominic, Ollie learned a framework for building custom GPTs. Ollie started with a Role, then added Triggers and Instructions. Each instruction followed the structure Dominic taught: Task, Context, Reasoning and Output.
After
Ollie built the Employment and Layoff Expert, a custom GPT covering the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and France. Each country has its own trigger, pointing the GPT to that country's official legal website and the specific articles on dismissal, notice periods and collective layoffs. The answers come back in English, as bullet points, a comparison table and a step-by-step procedure.
What it lets people do
Someone facing a restructuring can type a country name and get a plain-English overview of the local layoff rules and steps. It compares individual and collective processes side by side and points back to the articles of law it draws on, while flagging uncertainty when information is not fully reliable.
What they learned
Ollie found that a clear structure is what makes an AI tool trustworthy for serious work. By giving the GPT a defined role, precise sources and a fixed output format, a single framework from one session became something useful in a field where mistakes are costly.
