At 76, a veteran project manager started a first company built with AI
After 30 years managing major engineering projects, they started their first company at 76, using AI to teach home safety through children's questions.
This student spent three decades managing contracts on some of the largest engineering projects in the world. At 76, during a 90-day Mindvalley program, they started their first company. Their story is a quiet answer to anyone who thinks it is too late to begin.
Before
For more than 30 years they worked in project and contracts management on major EPC projects. It was a long corporate career built on structure and detail. Starting a company of their own had not yet happened, and the newest AI tools were still ahead of them.
“Achievements: Starting my first company at the age of 76 years old.”

The turning point
The 90-day Mindvalley program became, in their words, the most powerful learning curve they had known. Sessions ran two or three times a week, often stretching to two hours, and each one came back within a day as a recording, transcript, workbook, visual aids and a short summary podcast. With that support they learned to work with Claude, Airtable and Wispr Flow.
“90 days of the most impressive and powerful learning curve I have ever had the pleasure to be associated with.”

After
At 76, they started their first company. They are using AI to automate the project lifecycle and break down silos, building a business for Wisdompreneurs aged 50 and above facing life after corporate work, and designing inquiry-based home safety learning for young children. In their illustrations, a child asks a parent about the ten essential safety tools for the home and kitchen.
What it lets people do
Children learn like young scientists, asking big questions about home safety, and then carry those lessons upstream to parents and grandparents. People over 50 leaving corporate life get a path to turn their experience into something new.
What they learned
They learned that a lifetime of experience becomes new fuel when paired with the right tools and teaching. And they saw that learning sticks when it does not stay in the classroom, but is recorded, summarised and returned to.
“We are all aware when we walk out of a classroom 70% or what we learned remains in the Classroom.”
