A two-hour AI music playlist and songs released to Spotify, built tool by tool
A hand-picked two-hour YouTube playlist of 44 AI tracks with looping visuals, plus songs released to Spotify and a 1960s rocksteady showcase.
This student took a stack of AI tools and turned them into real, public music: a two-hour playlist, streaming releases and an authentic 1960s rocksteady reggae showcase. What stands out is the care. They tested every tool, kept notes on each one's strengths, and shaped it all around an artistic vision. It shows how far a curious mind can go when a program hands them a method.
Before
They were working with a long list of AI tools for music, images and video, each promising something different. Making a polished, finished release meant knowing which tool did what well, and that had to be found out. The bigger aim was a playlist people could loop while they study, work, exercise or chill.
“It is worthwhile using many tools and then to hone down on which help fulfill my specifications and requirements.”

The turning point
In class they learned to use Airtable with clear criteria for images and a structure for prompts. That gave them a method: explore each tool and note its strengths. They found Udio more raw and natural, Suno more studio-polished, RunwayML and Flux.AI best for dynamic visuals and Sora for photo-realistic video.
“Some things you can automate and some others you cannot.”

After
They built a two-hour audio sequence of 44 AI tracks in Premiere Pro, paired with a looping visualizer designed in Canva, and published it on YouTube. They released their AI songs to Spotify and other streaming services through Distrokid. They also created a 1960s rocksteady reggae showcase, complete with a graffiti-to-QR-code sequence made in RunwayML.
What it lets people do
The playlist gives listeners two hours of curated music to loop while they study, work, exercise or wind down. Its visuals shift through scenes that match each of those moods.
What they learned
They came away knowing that not everything can be automated, especially work driven by an artistic vision. Trying many tools, then narrowing to the ones that meet their own standards, turned the project into a journey of trial, error and discovery.
“A wonderful journey of learning through trial and error, fine tuning and self-discovery of new applications for each respective tool.”
