"My plan is to start my own company"
After 36 years of teaching, she retired and invested her pension in learning AI skills to launch her own company. Now she's combining decades of education experience with AI training to create manuals, podcasts, videos, and apps across education, writing, and chess.
It was a chalenging four months having to learn and adapt to all these new learning experiences. Sitting through long videos or presentations sometimes caught me catching fish! All in all, a great experience. I learned such a lot with every new lesson. I missed the Community calls but caught up with it by reading the transcripts and materials attached to it like the Questions and answers. I was a teacher for 36 years when I finally quitted my job. I invested in this course which will be my new ‘job’. I did not get a lot of money as a pension because I was a contract teacher who took a package way back in 1998. My plan is to start my own company. With the experience I have combined with the training I got during this course I’m sure that I will have a few companies up and running in no time although I start with them one-by-one. My more than 30 years’ experience include teaching all subjects at primary school level and a few at high school level as a class teacher as well as a tutor for our national education department. I was also a FIDE Instructor in chess for more than 30 years and a published poet [in Afrikaans]. AI will help me in my Education, writing, chess, in terms of manuals, podcasts, videos, novels, apps!!!! Thank you so much. I loved and appreciated the format of the lessons: Starting with the title, video with Title and face of presenter, ‘What you will learn’, Summary of lesson which I copied, (quizzes which I’ll do next month!), I did not use the chat but will explore it probably next m,onth – I think it will answer questions on the content of that particular lesson- I downloaded all the transcripts and documents and Questions and Answers and Community calls. I sat in front of my laptop every Friday and Wednesday appreciating the lesson on a Friday and ‘hands-on or revision on Wednesdays. Then you also provided podcasts! So, one really could not go wrong or state that lessons were missed.
