AI Mastery

From no AI experience to training 400 employees and transforming a $10M operation

Quick summary

In under a year, this leader transformed from AI novice to architect of an enterprise-wide ecosystem—training 400+ employees, cutting turnover in half, and embedding AI into everything from daily operations to personal longevity practices, all while leading a $10M contact center.

In less than one year, I went from having no practical experience with AI to building an ecosystem that supports enterprise operations, trains hundreds of employees, and enhances every aspect of my daily leadership and life.

Overview

One year ago, I had very limited practical experience with artificial intelligence. Through structured learning and daily application, I have built a fully integrated AI ecosystem that supports both a $10M contact center operation and my personal leadership, health, and life systems.

Today, AI is embedded into nearly every part of my daily routine—from a five-minute longevity practice delivered each morning, to executive decision-making, to coaching teams and developing enterprise AI strategy. Rather than treating AI as a tool used occasionally, I designed systems that make AI part of how I think, plan, communicate, and lead every day.

This approach has produced measurable business outcomes, empowered hundreds of employees, and significantly improved my own effectiveness and quality of life.

Achievements

Enterprise Impact

- Led multiple AI implementations across coaching, quality, analytics, and forecasting in a 120-seat contact center generating $10M in annual revenue with a 37% net EBITDA margin.

- Increased quality monitoring coverage from 1% of calls to 100%, enabling earlier identification of coaching and training opportunities.

- Achieved annual call-volume forecasting accuracy within 2% of actuals, enabling precise staffing and revenue planning.

- Reduced turnover by half year-over-year, contributing approximately $425,000 in savings across recruiting and support functions.

- Supported customer satisfaction scores exceeding 94%, well above industry benchmarks.

- Developed and presented a multi-year AI roadmap and governance model adopted by leadership.

Team and Organizational Impact

- Trained more than 400 employees in practical AI usage, including prompt engineering, custom GPT creation, and AI agent development.

- Coached frontline and leadership employees to build and maintain AI solutions, democratizing technical capability across the organization.

- Built governance practices and guiding principles emphasizing responsible AI and human-centered design.

Personal and Leadership Impact

AI now supports my daily execution and decision-making across multiple domains:

- Daily planning, time tracking, and productivity management

- Weekly accomplishments, KPI interpretation, and scorecard preparation

- Performance review preparation and leadership communication

- Strategy decks and executive presentations

- Career planning, financial planning, and long-term goal alignment

- Nutrition planning, macro tracking, and longevity practices

- Parenting guidance, pet care, and household decision-making

Tasks that previously required 30 minutes or more each day—such as time tracking, documenting progress, and preparing structured updates—are now completed seamlessly in seconds through integrated workflows.

AI has also helped improve my written communication and confidence. As someone with dyslexia, I previously avoided certain written communications due to concern about clarity or errors. AI assistance now allows me to communicate freely, clearly, and professionally, enabling greater transparency and leadership effectiveness.

Tools and Systems

Enterprise

Methodology

1. Daily Application Over Occasional Use

2. Rather than experimenting sporadically, I integrated AI into recurring daily routines and leadership workflows. This created compounding benefits and accelerated learning.

3. Build Systems, Not Prompts

4. I developed repeatable workflows and specialized copilots designed to support specific roles and decisions, turning AI into a structured operating system rather than an ad-hoc tool.

5. Empower Others to Learn

6. I shared knowledge openly and trained hundreds of employees, helping hourly and salaried teammates develop skills that will benefit their careers long term.

7. Govern and Scale Responsibly

8. Guiding principles were established emphasizing:

- AI enhances human capability rather than replaces people

- Accuracy and knowledge management are essential

- Governance and feedback loops must be built early

1. Align Strategy with Execution

2. A multi-year roadmap and yearly goals ensured that AI adoption remained focused, measurable, and aligned with business priorities.

Learnings

- Mastery comes from daily practice, not occasional experimentation.

- AI adoption accelerates when people see immediate value in their daily work.

- Teaching others is one of the fastest ways to deepen personal expertise.

- Human-centered principles build trust and sustainability in AI adoption.

- The most powerful use of AI is not automation alone, but augmentation of human thinking, decision-making, and creativity.

Recognition and Validation

AI initiatives led within the organization have received external recognition through multiple Stevie Awards and industry acknowledgment for innovation, governance, and measurable results.
