Coffee machine know-how turned into a scalable technical services model
A plan for a specialized coffee equipment service hub, built on preventive maintenance, rapid response and a future Technical Academy.
This student took deep hands-on knowledge of professional coffee equipment and shaped it into a full business model for hospitality clients. They mapped the market, designed the service, and sketched a Technical Center that could one day train the next generation of technicians. It is a clear example of turning expertise you already have into something that can grow beyond you.
Technical services hub for professional coffee equipment
Before
Their expertise lived in their hands and their operational experience, the kind of knowledge that gets used one repair at a time. Hospitality businesses depend on their coffee machines, yet service in the field often means reacting after something breaks. What was missing was a way to make that know-how documented, repeatable and able to scale.

The turning point
During the program they stepped back and started from the customer's problem rather than the machine. Using a Business Model Canvas, service design and process documentation, they defined a scalable technical services model and identified HORECA businesses as the first target market. They came to see that technical skill only grows when it becomes a process others can follow.

After
They now have a specialized service offering for professional coffee equipment, built around preventive and corrective maintenance and managed through KPIs. They designed the concept for a professional Technical Center and a future Technical Academy, and drew up initial operational, commercial and technology roadmaps. What was once personal experience is now a plan with phases and room to expand.
What it lets people do
Cafés, hotels and restaurants get equipment care focused on preventing breakdowns, responding quickly and keeping operations running over the long term. Service is designed to be fast, transparent and traceable, and the planned academy points toward training and keeping skilled technicians.
What they learned
They learned that technical expertise has to be converted into documented, repeatable processes before it can scale. Preventive maintenance creates more lasting value than reactive repairs, and the people doing the work, their training and retention, are what make growth possible.
“a specialized technical center can evolve into a platform for national expansion and technical education.”

Technical services hub for professional coffee equipment was built during AI Mastery.
