Eight children's books took shape under one pen name, each with cover art

Eight children's book concepts, each with cover art, square formatting and versions sorted for readers from newborns to age 12.

Writing as PJ Kraus, this author built a whole shelf of children's stories, from a yawn fairy to a missing sock crown. Eight titles now have covers, layouts and age cards, each moving toward publication. It shows how far steady work with simple tools can carry a creative idea.

DreamCloud Adventures by PJ Kraus

Before

The submission shares little about where PJ Kraus started. What it does show is someone with a head full of worlds: shadowy woods, echoing shells, cloud kingdoms and forgotten maps. Turning that many ideas into finished, printable books is a big job for one person.

“Finish and publish each title to Amazon KDP — all 8 are at different stages of completion.”

In their own words

The turning point

During the program, PJ Kraus put AI tools to work. They used ChatGPT to shape book ideas and generate images, and the StoryHero app to turn the stories and pictures into versions ready for Amazon KDP. That gave a clear path from idea to book.

After

Today there are eight book concepts, among them The Brave Whiskers of Shadow Wood, Leo and the Island of Echoing Shells and The Yawn Fairy's Gentle Glow. Each has square 6.5×6.5 formatting, cover art, text and no-text versions, and age-category cards for 0–2, 3–5, 6–8 and 9–12. All eight are at different stages, with more of the series planned as coming soon.

What it lets people do

The books give parents and children gentle, playful stories matched to a child's age. The no-text versions invite families to tell the story in their own words, page by page.

What they learned

PJ Kraus learned that a large creative vision becomes manageable when it is broken into clear pieces: idea, art, format, age group. They are honest that the work is not finished, and they keep going title by title.

“Plan to create the rest of the series in ‘coming soon’.”
