A family's need for real connection became a card game built and tested with AI
ReScripted, a card game for Gen Z and millennial families, grew from family playtests where awkward moments became game features.
This creator took a personal wish, more natural connection in everyday family moments, and turned it into a finished card game with its own art, jingle and ad video. Using a stack of AI tools and real family playtests, they went from concept to a working digital version. It shows how far one person can carry an idea when the program gives them the tools.
Before
The idea started with a personal need: creating more natural, meaningful connection during everyday moments at home. Bridging the communication styles of Gen Z and millennial family members felt hard to do in ordinary routines. They had the wish, but not yet the game, the art or the way to test it.
“The game began as a solution to a personal need—creating more natural, meaningful connection during everyday moments—and evolved through repeated family playtests, feedback loops, and refinements.”

The turning point
In the program they learned to work across many AI tools at once: ChatGPT and Claude for content and research, MidJourney, Sora and Gemini for art, Suno for music and Eleven Labs for voice. Domenic's advanced image editing techniques helped them shape the card design and ad visuals. Building a digital version of the game with Claude let them test fast with family and friends.
After
They now have ReScripted: card content, scoring, branding, an ad jingle and a social media video. Each round of family play fed back into the design, improving clarity, inclusivity and replayability. Awkward moments were watched closely and turned into part of the game.
What it lets people do
ReScripted gives families a playful structure for real conversation across generations. Its prompts balance structure with spontaneity, so connection matters more than getting things right.
What they learned
They learned that good design comes from live feedback, played out at a real table. Embracing friction, rather than hiding it, made the game better and more honest.
“Prompts, tasks, and scoring mechanics were continuously tested in live settings, with awkward moments intentionally observed, embraced, and redesigned into gameplay features rather than friction points.”
