AI Mastery

Reduced production time by 75% while empowering team to embrace AI openly

Quick summary

A marketing leader transformed their team's relationship with AI—moving from quiet hesitation to confident collaboration. By reframing AI as an ally rather than a threat, they reduced production time by 75% while empowering the team to focus on strategy, creativity, and meaningful human contribution.

Achievements

When I joined dettes.ca, the marketing team was skilled, dedicated, and already equipped with AI tools.

Yet beneath the surface, something deeper was happening.

AI was used quietly, cautiously—and sometimes even with hesitation.

There was an unspoken belief that using AI might be perceived as “cheating,” or that it diminished human value. Some team members felt uncomfortable openly acknowledging how often they relied on AI, shaped by the false narrative of human vs. AI, rather than human + AI.

As a leader, I understood that true transformation wouldn’t come from more tools, but from changing the story.

My role was to normalize AI as an ally—one that amplifies human intelligence instead of competing with it.

Guided by the Mindvalley AI Mastery program, I led a human-centered transformation that reshaped not only workflows, but mindsets.

Today:

- Time spent on production and repetitive tasks has been reduced by approximately 75%

- The quality, clarity, and consistency of marketing outputs have significantly improved

- Campaigns move faster without increasing pressure or burnout

- Team members dedicate far more time to strategy, creativity, and human judgment

- AI is openly embraced, discussed, and integrated into daily work

Most importantly, the team feels empowered, confident, and proud of how they work with AI.

Tools

The marketing team uses a practical and role-adapted AI ecosystem, including:

- ChatGPT with structured, role-specific prompt frameworks

- AI-powered tools for content creation, refinement, and ideation

- Custom AI agents designed to support daily marketing activities

- Internal prompt libraries aligned with dettes.ca’s brand voice, empathy standards, and regulatory context

The focus was always on clarity, trust, and psychological safety.

Methodology

The transformation was inspired by the Mindvalley AI Mastery curriculum and implemented through hands-on collaboration.

1. Reframing the Narrative

2. We consciously shifted the story from human vs. AI to human + AI, creating safety and openness.

3. Team Workshops & Skill Enablement

4. I facilitated workshops to help the team:

5.

- Understand how AI works

- Learn how to prompt effectively

- Apply AI in ways tailored to their specific roles

1. Human-Centered Frameworks

2. We identified frameworks that supported thinking, creativity, and judgment—rather than replacing them.

3. AI Agents for Everyday Support

4. We developed AI agents that removed repetitive tasks and reduced cognitive load.

5. Iteration Through Trust & Feedback

6. Adoption evolved organically through experimentation, trust, and shared learnings.

Learnings

- Cultural beliefs can be a bigger barrier than technology

- Psychological safety is essential for AI adoption

- Teams thrive when AI use is normalized and celebrated

- AI creates space for deeper human contribution

- Empowerment begins when people no longer feel they need to hide how they work

Closing Reflection

This project reinforced a leadership truth I deeply believe in:

When people are freed from fear—of judgment, of replacement, of “doing it wrong”—they naturally rise into their most creative, strategic, and human work.
