A chiropractor designed a three-mode app to guide her family through life's

Marilyn built a life planning app with three modes: crisis instructions, trusted facts, and a living record of who a person is.

Marilyn is a chiropractor who set out to build something most of us put off thinking about: a clear plan for the people we leave behind. She made herself the first user, testing every design choice against her own real life. The result is a thoughtful, deeply personal tool that shows how far a focused idea can go.

Marilyn Carmona
A chiropractor building a life planning app, first for her own family.

Life planning and exit preparation app

Before

Marilyn wanted more than a checklist for what happens after someone dies. Planning for the end often means scattered papers and logistics, with little about the person themselves. She wanted one place her family could trust, built around her own family and her own answers.

“every design decision has been stress-tested against her own real life circumstances (family structure, medical history, personal answers to draft content).”

In their own words

The turning point

During her Mindvalley program, she turned that wish into a concrete design. She shaped the app around three distinct needs and stress-tested each one against her real circumstances, from family structure to medical history to her personal answers to draft content.

After

Marilyn now has a comprehensive life planning app built first for personal and family use. It has an Action Mode, an Input Mode and a Legacy Mode. She plans a wider public release if it proves valuable beyond her family.

What it lets people do

In a live crisis, a coordinator gets clear, sequenced instructions. Practical, legal and medical facts sit in one trustworthy place. And the people left behind keep a living record of who the person was and is.

What they learned

Marilyn found that the best test of a tool is your own life. By being her own first user, she made sure the app serves logistics and memory alike, not just paperwork.

“not just to organize logistics for after someone dies”

In their own words

Life planning and exit preparation app was built during AI Mastery.

App A comprehensive life planning and exit preparation app, built first for personal/family use, with eventual public release if it proves valuable beyond the family. The creator (Marilyn, a chiropractor) is also the app's first intended user — every design decision has been stress-tested against her own real life circumstances (family structure, medical history, personal answers to draft content). **Core intent:** not just to organize logistics for after someone dies, but to give: 1. A coordinator clear, sequenced instructions during a live crisis (Action Mode) 2. A single, trustworthy place for practical/legal/medical facts (Input Mode) 3. A living record of who the person was/is, for the people left behind (Legacy Mode)
