I look forward to all the learning in this course.
Gloria defied her culture's limitations for women, transforming from a factory worker denied education in 1970s Spain to a psychology degree holder in the UK. Driven by her journey as a mother to a deaf child, she discovered the power of the subconscious mind and energy healing.
I am at the beginning of my training in the "Be Extraordinary" programme. My story this far has been one of struggle against my circumstances and, as Vishen puts it, my "culture scape". I left school ar 14 years old to do fulltime work as it was the norm for girls in seventies' Spain. My destiny was to work in a shop or a factory and get married therefore I was denied to chance to go into higher education. However, I did not give up, I did work in shops and factories but I also studied at night school and eventually I got access to higher education. It was a very long and convoluted journey but eventually, I studied for a psychology degree in the UK. My awakening into personal growth came as a result of the need to further understand the workings of the mind as a result of a mother to a deaf child with developmental issues. My study of hypnosis and counselling showed how powerful our subconscious is and how little we are taught about how to use it to our advantage. My eagerness to understand more has led me to find Donna Eden and her Energy Medicine and also Yvette Taylors Energy Alignment Method, and I continue to further improve my knowledge and my ability to use my mind to the best of my abilities. I look forward to all the learning in this course.
