Paid myself first, cancelled frivolous expenses and started saving
Christle went from trudging through life on autopilot to reigniting forgotten dreams and taking control of their finances. They've started meditating, revived a business idea, and broke free from stress-spending patterns—now excited about the future ahead.
Before Lifebook, I would just go through my days, weeks, years like trudging through mud. I wasn't necessarily unhappy but just running on the hamster wheel of life.
From the first few sections, I have started meal planning to a degree again. I have begun meditating, listening to some of The Great Courses in my library. I have purchased some of the books suggested in audible versions, and I dug out some notes I made years ago on a business venture I was thinking about. I have begun adding to it and have looked up how to write a business plan and I have promised to spend at least an hour a week on it (Has been more, but I didn't want a goal I would self-sabotage). With all the introspection and time for Lifebook, I didn't want to overwhelm myself.
I have started thinking about my spirituality again and immediately after the financial chapter I went to my bank account and paid myself first. I put 10% in a savings and cancelled some monthly expenses that were frivolous. I am starting to see a much clearer picture of how to get out of debt and save some money even on what my income is. I was never taught money management or how to handle it and when I would feel the most stressed about my finances, I would spend more. I don't have the urge to now. I am actually excited about where I go from here.
I had a lot of self-doubts and negative beliefs about myself personally that I didn't even realize was there. I have learned you don't have to be a victim to admit some of the negative that created them. It makes you stronger to admit, face, and overcome!
WOW, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHERE I AM IN A YEAR!
Thank You
