My heart is happy and filled with gratitude for what Lifebook gave me
After losing her gym and suffering a serious injury, Laura found herself unemployed and living with her parents at 34. Lifebook gave her the clarity and confidence to rediscover herself, opening her heart to love and reigniting even bigger dreams for her future.
2018 was one of my worst years ever. The gym I owned for 5 years was forced to close over really frustrating (and what felt like unfair) reasons at the time. Then I had a freak waterskiing accident that destroyed my knee. However I was happier the 10 days in the hospital than I had been the 6 months prior and that was eye-opening to me. My gym closing and injury actually was a blessing to get my life back on track. It's been a year since the injury, I've been unemployed, in massive debt and living with my parents. As an independent 34 year old, that's tough to accept but my parents helped me get back on track. While home and mostly sitting bored if not doing physical therapy, I found Lifebook. It was the perfect chance to help me align my thoughts. I never sat around feeling bad about what happened, I was angry over situations but motivated to heal, learn and move forward. Lifebook was amazing, it gave me guidance and clarity! I've been very focused of self-improvement for a few years now but Lifebook exceeded my expectations! I can't say I had a big "aha" but I did get a calm feeling of confidence when I was done. It gave me clarity, motivation and confidence in a way I'd never felt or recognized was possible. It gave me a clear goal to help me put my life back together. I had been lost in stress running a business on my own, I had lost me and my life. I have found that again and my heart is happy and filled with gratitude for what Lifebook gave me. I learned to love myself and learn to open up and find love for others so that I can finally meet my one-day husband and not be so scared and closed off like I used to be. I tell my family this is mandatory and I will have all my staff create their Lifebook once I re-open the gym. My goals now are even bigger than before, but I'm more confident and excited to make them come true. Finding myself again has been the best blessing. Once I get some regular income again, I will certainly be upgrading to join the second part of the Lifebook program!
