"I am getting ready to start coaching in earnest as a side gig"
When I began this certification program I had already been in a health and body transformation journey for about two years. I had come a long way, but I was still struggling with the last and very persistent 5 kilos to reach my ideal weight. I chose to join for two reasons: first, I was hoping to find the way to release those last kilos and second, I was interested in the coaching portion of the course so I would have better tools to share my knowledge with others, especially my family.
Today, I am very grateful for my results. Yes, I did reach my weight loss goal, but I learnt so much more. The most profound part for me, was about accepting my body as it is, and allowing it to become its best version possible. You see, for a long time I had been highly critical of my body, it was a source of my low self-esteem issues. During this Holobody process I experienced an important shift, because today I can say and feel in all sincerity that I love my body, just as it is. Accepting and loving my body is the most important and deep win for me.
My second win, must be described with a little context story. A few months before Holobody I had done the Story Vision process (this is one of the tools we learn here) and one of the things I had envisioned is that on a certain date I would wear a specific outfit. The day arrived and I put my outfit on. It fit wonderfully. The weather was too cold to wear it outside, but I did take my picture (it's the one I'm sharing with this post).
Now, this is not the end of the story, what came next was that I went into self-sabotage. The very next day I had a social event and just fell into my old pattern of, pretty much, binge eating. It went on for the whole weekend. Come Monday, I got back into my better judgment. I did a coaching session on this issue in one of our practice sessions. It was very emotional for me, but I learnt that I had a consistent pattern of self-sabotage followed by berating and being very harsh and mean to myself. I had failed to recognize that this time, it had been really easy for me to get right back on the wagon. So, my second lesson was that when I treat myself more lovingly, it becomes easier for me to get back on the wagon, plus now I have developed healthier habits that I know work for me, and have become effortless to put in practice, even after a slip. I didn't even gain that much weight during the "crazy" weekend.
The third win is that I have begun to coach my family members and close friends. I am getting ready to start coaching in earnest as a side gig.
Thanks to everyone in Mindvalley for this lovely course. Ronan, Ajit, and Vishen your teachings have had a deep effect I am so much happier being myself now. Sid, Toma and Ana Sofía thank you for your continuous encouragement and support. Everybody in the Tribe, it has been such a pleasure to go through this journey with you all.
