From 20-year software engineer to launching a life coaching career

Quick summary

After two decades as a frustrated software engineer, she discovered the tools to overcome her inner critic and step boldly into life coaching. Now she confidently creates content, takes action over endless thinking, and feels empowered to author her own life.

Before this program I was a Software Engineer frustrated with my job and I was looking for a possible career transition. After more than 20 years I felt that I needed a break from the corporate world. After taking this program I feel lighter and empowered to try a life coaching career. I believe it's possible that I make a living applying what I've learned. The reason why I enrolled in this program was to relearn everything and take advantage of the community because I've done this program in the past but didn't apply the learning to build a business and didn't take much advantage of the coaching pods, I just used the concepts on my myself. Reasons why I recommend this program is because it doesn't give you just information. It gives you practical tools to change your mindset and gives you a community that you might keep for the rest of your life. My top 3 insights during and after finishing this program are: 1. Self-coaching is a superpower! By asking yourself powerful questions you can change how you handle problems and make decisions. 2. Clarity comes from action, not endless thinking. You just have to keep moving forward no matter how small, evaluate the results and iterate. 3. Fight your inner critic. I'm always my worst critic. Now I have tools to reframe my negative self-talk. The biggest positive change I've noticed is that now I'm able to record videos and publish them on social media and I can very easily overcome the fact that I don't like seeing myself on videos and that I don't like how my voice sounds. I record, edit and publish without thinking how I feel about it and I let the audience be the judge of my content. I now feel that I can be the author of my own life.
