"I can now say I am a paid coach as I have just signed a client"
It's been 15 years since I've wanted to do work with people as a spiritual counsellor or something similar for anyone in remission from a mental health, stress or depression crisis, relationship loss, bankruptcy, career change etc (hitting rock bottom basically) and looking for their place in the world, hope and a way out of the hole. I went through the same and much more, and once there was no further down I could go, I wanted to go up. I found my way through reading books, working with people and attending to a lot of Mindvalley free masterclasses. When I was out of the whole, I thought to my self I can help people. My way was long and painful, but had I had someone to guide me things would have developed faster. At that time I knew nothing about Life Coaching as a business but I knew people did energy or spiritual healing and some of those people helped me in a way. When I expressed to my religious family that that was what I wanted to do, they all laughed at me and made me believe I could not do that. I allowed this to stop me doing this kind of work. I later found a way could be doing social work and I went to school for that. However I didn't work in social work because the pay was minimum to start and I was being offered a better deal in corporate. So I left that work on the side. After two years in corporate again I quit because I realized again I did not like corporate work. I after went into various business ventures that were never fulfilling so I kept changing, always knowing my super power was problem solving and I wanted people to be happy. I then accepted that my purpose in life was to be of service of people with no pay and that I was lucky I had a partner who support me and I was able to stay home with the kids. Kids are growing now and I was thinking I have to start something for next year. Mindvalley showed up on my feed with the certified life coaching certificate and I had an aha moment. This is showing up in my life when I need it, so I registered and here I am at the end of the second month knowing I found my way. I knew I could coach and help people, but I had no idea how to convert that into a business. The course has giving me so much direction and has confirmed and reminded me of certain things I knew but forgot. It has giving me the confidence of putting myself out there and the confidence to say I am a life coach even before I am even certified. I worked on my logo, website and used my own name for the logo and website as I am now confident with myself now and have become unfuckwithable as per Vishen's teachings :D I can now say I am a paid coach as I have just signed a client. Not ready to take on too many yet as I still have my daughter at home, but it is a great way to start!
