"I feel more confident and feel like I am finally going in the direction I've wanted for a long time"
Before joining the MV Certified Life Coaching program, I enjoyed MV classes but wasn't very consistent about studying the material. I have also worked as a Registered Nurse for 14 years, 10 of which were in the field of Behavioral Health. Though I loved interacting with and helping my patients, I was extremely stressed out by other parts of the job: 13-hour "full tilt boogie" workdays, unreasonable expectations from management who seemed to care more about checking all of the right boxes in the computer charting system than truly connecting with the patients. I took the MV CLC course with the hope that I could incorporate my experience in behavioral health and personal development and turn it into a sustainable business where I could focus more on the parts of work about which I was/am passionate...primarily helping people to realize their intrinsic worth, overcome the challenges, obstacles, mindsets that have been holding them back, and discover and live their purpose, passions, and dreams. About the same time I started working in behavioral health, I also started working on a long-held dream of mine...making a film. Through a lot of stops and starts, getting remarried, moving, raising strong-willed teenagers, etc, and with very little money (the project was self-funded) I finished my feature-length, documentary film, Life on Purpose, right about the same time I started my CLC course. Thanks to the Mindvalley Certified Life Coach class, I feel more confident and feel like I am finally going in the direction I've wanted for a long time...to help and empower people to love and forgive themselves and others, be able to turn the setbacks of life into blessings, and truly live their passions, purpose, and dreams, all through my own business, based on my values...not beholden to some out of touch managers who daily seem to push out a new set of "Brules, " based on the bottom line rather than the well-being of the people involved. As I write this, my film, Life on Purpose, has been accepted to a couple of different film festivals, domestic and foreign, I have officially become an award-winning filmmaker, and as I start my coaching business, I have full confidence that I can help and empower anyone with anything: from top CEOs and small business owners to fledgling filmmakers, artists, and entrepreneurs. We are all people And through the program, I realized that I am great at coaching and helping people of all nationalities and all walks of life. The very diverse group in the CLC class with whom I interacted and who, through the labs, I got to coach and by whom I was able to receive coaching, enabled me to see that I am a super-star coach: talented, empathetic, intuitive, a great active listener, and truly able to help, inspire and empower people. The Mindvalley Certified Life Coach class has given me not only a great set of tools that I can use to help my clients, but a renewed sense of purpose, passion, adventure, and a wonderful community of like-minded, yet very different, multi-national, and multi-faceted, friends and colleagues. I am grateful to have taken this certification and learned so much in the modules, classes, and labs, and I look forward to this next stage in my life with optimism and confidence. Thank you to all of the very visible and behind-the-scenes folks who made this such a wonderful, life-changing experience!
