"The modules on coaching presence, organizing the mind, bioengineering, connectedness and the Six-Phase Meditation helped me understand personal transformation from multiple dimensions"

My Journey from Healthcare Leadership to Holistic Life Coaching

I am Dr Rahul Singh Bhadouria, a medical doctor and public-health professional from Bhopal, India. For more than two decades, I have worked across healthcare, community medicine and the development sector. Throughout this journey, I observed that physical health is deeply connected with a person’s thoughts, emotions, relationships, habits, environment and sense of purpose.

My medical and public-health training taught me how to understand illness and improve health at both individual and community levels. However, I increasingly felt the need to understand and support the whole person behind a health concern. I wanted to help people not only manage problems, but also develop clarity, self-awareness and the confidence to create meaningful change in their lives.

Before joining the Mindvalley Certified Life Coach Program, I was already exploring functional medicine, health coaching, meditation and personal development. I regularly guided people around their health and lifestyle, but I wanted to develop a more structured and effective coaching approach. I wanted to move beyond simply providing advice and learn how to help people discover their own insights, possibilities and solutions.

The certification changed my understanding of what it means to coach. I learned that coaching is not about solving every problem for the client. It is about creating a safe and non-judgmental space, being fully present, listening deeply, asking meaningful questions and helping people reconnect with their own inner wisdom.

The modules on coaching presence, organizing the mind, bioengineering, connectedness and the Six-Phase Meditation helped me understand personal transformation from multiple dimensions. They strengthened my awareness of how beliefs, emotions, physical wellbeing, relationships, daily habits and purpose influence one another.

One of the most valuable parts of the program was the opportunity to apply these principles with real clients. I coached two clients through six structured sessions each. During these sessions, we worked on goal clarification, mindset, emotional awareness, wellbeing, relationships, journaling, meditation, purpose and practical action planning. I also integrated the Six-Phase Meditation and a Lifebook-based Health and Fitness vision into the coaching journey.

Through this experience, I learned to slow down and remain genuinely curious. As a doctor and public-health professional, I am accustomed to assessing situations and offering solutions. Coaching taught me the importance of resisting the urge to immediately advise and instead allowing clients to explore their experiences, recognize patterns and define actions that are meaningful to them.

Witnessing clients gain clarity, reframe limiting beliefs and take greater ownership of their lives strengthened my confidence in the coaching process. It also helped me recognize that lasting transformation becomes more likely when people feel heard, discover their own reasons for change and participate actively in designing their next steps.

At the end of this certification journey, I feel grateful, empowered and better prepared to serve people through an integrated approach combining medicine, public health, functional medicine, health coaching and life coaching. This program has not simply added another qualification to my professional profile. It has influenced the way I listen, communicate, lead and support people.

My vision is to help individuals move beyond managing isolated problems and build healthier, more conscious, balanced and purpose-driven lives. I intend to apply these coaching principles within my health-transformation initiatives, community programs and entrepreneurial work so that more people can become active participants in creating their best lives.

Completing the Mindvalley Certified Life Coach Program feels both like a graduation and a new beginning. I am moving forward with deeper presence, greater clarity and a renewed commitment to helping people create meaningful and sustainable transformation.
