"This has been a game changer for me"
After 30 years in counseling, Carolyn discovered she'd been giving too much advice instead of empowering clients with questions. This shift freed her from feeling responsible for others' lives while making her a more effective mental health provider.
I stopped being a fixer! I have a Master's Degree in Counseling and I worked over 30 years believing I had to fix people or I had failed them. I worked with college students mostly and other adults, helping them make meaningful career decisions and find their purpose in life. After taking this course I realized that I was giving them too much advice rather than asking more open-ended questions to allow them to make their own decisions. This has been a game changer for me as well as taking the responsibility for their lives off of me. Thank you for a great course that will help many people become better mental health providers.
