"I look forward to joining a tribe on the same path as I am to develop my own path of "enlightenment" and abundance"
Hello, My name is Evelyn, I am 64 years old, a mother of 3 and grandmother to 7. I love horses, dogs, yoga, pilates, gardening, painting, and making crafts. I have been a counselor for 10 years now. Nine of those years I work on a Native American Reservation here in South Dakota called Pine Ridge. It is the home of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. Shortly into my counseling career I realized I needed to learn more about trauma and the significant impact it makes on individuals lives. I worked for a homeless organization for 4 years before that. I also realized how much being the daughter of an alcoholic influenced my path and my decision to become a counselor. I have learned that talk therapy is a very slow and not that successful way to help someone with their mental health issues. I have done Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and it is a lot better. However, I ran across one of Mindvalley's free introductory master classes and I was hooked. I quit working for the non-profit I worked for the last 10 years and started my own counseling business in April of 2020. I struggle with staying on task. I look forward to joining a tribe on the same path as I am to develop my own path of "enlightenment" and abundance. I hope to meet others on this path and continue my journey.
