My relationship with my newly 18-year-old daughter was constantly strained. She physically and intellectually would complete with me, which I didn’t understand. I just simplified it to “I’m not your peer so why do we have this dynamic?!” I don’t know what changed in me, but everything has changed between us and I’ve never been more excited about our relationship going forward. I’m what some might call an old mother. I had my daughter at 40, am usually not seen as my age. My daughter really expressed a desire to look like me, while also letting me know I constantly denigrate myself, which basically brought us to our very misunderstood, turbulent state. When I started Silva, I instantly noticed how different, truly relaxing and listening, changed my relationships. Not just with my daughter, but also my son and ex-husband. I was applying all the techniques to all of them, including our dog. The most noticeable transformation has been with my daughter. Suddenly, she’s up every morning running 2 to 3 miles, applying everything I’ve ever said to her about true wellness to her life. When she’s focused, she just is amazing and all you can do is watch!! Yesterday, I had she and her best friend meditate and then spend hours creating vision boards about what they wanted for their immediate lives going forward, while I cooked for them and worked on my own projects. It was absolutely amazing!! My daughter has been hugging me every couple of hours for the last few days. My hope is to have her pick a mind valley course as gift for the holidays ?
