“My speaking style has changed completely, and I see a total shift in the way people listen to me”
At 81, this experienced speaker transformed her academic delivery style into emotionally compelling storytelling. Now she's pursuing her mission to end child abuse globally with newfound confidence and impact, seeing a total shift in how audiences respond to her message.
• Before taking the Mindvalley Speaking and influence Mastery programme with Eric Edmeades, I was an experienced public speaker, having delivered addresses across cities in multiple continents, both on transforming business effectiveness (more powerful than efficiency), and in my commitment to stop child abuse globally, before it ever begins. • The reason I enrolled in this course is that while my business speaking had been highly effective in transforming companies, in addressing child abuse with public policy makers, my very academic style of fact-based delivery persuaded people intellectually, but did not lead to the changes in behaviour necessary to transform childhood. I was intrigued to learn a different, story-based approach which appeals to the emotions rather than the thinking brain – and which we were assured would be more effective in changing actions. • I recommend this course to everyone who wishes to have more influence in life. In a four-month journey with Eric and the brilliant world class experts he introduced, in each of over 40 lessons I learned valuable, powerful approaches, methods and tips I had not known before. The quality of coaching was beyond my highest expectations. • My speaking style has changed completely, and I see a total shift in the way people listen to me. • My main insights are the power of stories, how to capture the emotions of an audience, and that transforming childhood is possible through the spoken voice. At age 81, I am now pursuing my goal to end child abuse with greater confidence and impact.
