"The course was wonderful and helped me learn public speaking and sharing my story"

Before this class, I wouldn't say I liked public speaking. With my previous profess, I did well in motivating one on one as a physician. I am no longer a physician but a mental health counselor. Motivating people when the world has told them live with the mental and substance issue is wrong. There are many tools available to assist in recovery as far as I want. Through this course, I learned some skills to inspire others. I learn that I am afraid to do that. I learned the things to practice to e motivational but have not got past the inability to pick people other than those that cross my path to it with With the reasons for not doing medical practice and the stroke I have recovered from, I have much work to do in trusting people and judging people's reactions. Wanting to share m story and help others see they can get back up and e a success is there, but something continues to stand in my way. I know I am not a loser, and if I m to achieve my goal, I need to continue to take action. I want to find someone to help direct my steps to d that. I was a DO made 750000 a year went through a divorce. At the same time, doing that and bankruptcy my staff to advantage and dealt drugs. Finding my child in the middle, I stroked out and now have everything back but fully healing my mind from this pain and trusting people. The course was wonderful and helped me learn public speaking and sharing my story, but I have no idea where to start. I am in mental health counseling student in school on line in northern NY and find no one wants to listen. Either I am not ready or am doing something to not attract people. Therefore I enjoyed the skills I learned but am not able to use them. looking for a mentor to be there to encourage and help show me where to go. Mentors are out there and expensive I am a senior on a fixed income and would appreciate any suggestions. The truth is, in past curses sharing essentially has gotten me no reply. I know I am past due in the class, but this is how long it has taken to put together my impression of the course. I am not a marketer of myself and find that a problem. The skills, ability, knowledge, and the desire to say something different is there, but again no one to share it with Lisa has had a mentor and guidance on where to go, which makes a big difference. I would appreciate some suggestions. L feel trapped in knowing people can be so much better but no one to tell. I don't know how to do blog, podcast, or any of the other online platforms. So at spent, I remain frustrated and continue my school work believing one day I will find the tools to assist me to have all the recovery I have gone through. Thanks for listening .
