When I started on my quest to be a Leadership Coach, the roadmap I sketched was to get training and mentoring hours for an ICF certification. While I had started on the coaching journey with some practice sessions, I was struggling to put a complete plan on how to take coaching forward as a business. I had been following Ajit and read the book of coaching when I got to see the SYCB quest. It detailed a complete 360 development for someone to start a coaching business. Esp. the focus on 'me' part. The leaning from this quest for simple and laser-focused which helped me to direct my attention to ' what matters' than 'what all is there'. The community/ tribe created was very effective in the learning & best practice sharing process and the moderators were encouraging at all times! One of the major factors for someone to complete the quest. My biggest takeaways - First and foremost - put 'me' first and ensure I am taking care of myself for 'my methodology' and 'my business' to happen. While coaching as a methodology is vast, the basic focus areas whether it's about knowing your client, your business, your offerings, coaching effectiveness by powerful questioning, etc. are the foundational components that will help make it a success for me. The quest helped me sort my thoughts and put clarity to my offerings. For e.g. the video I created on 'what's coaching'.
