Celebrating the books that transform minds and spark change

The Mindvalley Book of the Year Award celebrates books that expand minds, elevate human potential, and inspire meaningful change.

We created this award to honor authors whose work advances personal growth and business thinking — books that spark new conversations, challenge assumptions, and help individuals and leaders grow. These are works that don’t just inform, but transform.

Each year, our team conducts an ongoing review of newly released titles in personal growth and business. In March, we announce a select group of Official Nominees — books published in the previous calendar year, available in hardcover and written in English.

From this distinguished shortlist, winners are selected across three categories: Book of the Year, People’s Choice Award, Social Impact Book of the Year.

Award recipients are celebrated at the Mindvalley Book of the Year Awards Ceremony, held during Mindvalley University.

Participation is free for authors and publishers. Nomination is determined through independent editorial review and jury evaluation, guided by our commitment to spotlight excellence and elevate the standards of the personal growth and business industry.

The Mindvalley Book of the Year Award recognizes ideas that resonate deeply today — and help shape how we think, lead, and evolve tomorrow.

Eligibility and criteria

To be considered for the Mindvalley Book of the Year Award:

  • The book must have been published in the previous calendar year.
  • The book must be published in hardcover format.
  • The primary language of the book must be English.
  • The book should align with themes of personal growth, human transformation, leadership, culture, business, innovation, or related fields.

All books — including both traditionally published and independently published/self-published works — are eligible. There are no application fees or submission costs. Nominees are selected through continuous editorial review of newly released works in personal growth and business literature.

What you’ll learn

Each week, the Mindvalley Book Club team explores newly released books in personal growth and business. We actively look for titles that bring fresh insight, challenge conventional thinking, and contribute something valuable to today’s conversations around growth, leadership, and human potential.

Every book we consider is evaluated across four core dimensions:

  1. Relevance

Does this book matter now? Does it address ideas, challenges, or opportunities that are meaningful in today’s world?

  2. Message

Does it offer transformation? Does it shift perspectives, deepen understanding, or inspire growth?

  3. Flow

Is it well-written, engaging, and accessible? Does the reading experience support the message?

  4. The Author

Does the author embody the ideas they share? Is there authenticity, lived experience, and integrity behind the work?

These criteria help us identify books that are not only insightful, but impactful - works that stay with readers long after the final page.

From this ongoing review process, a select group of Official Nominees is chosen. These books represent the strongest contributions of the year in personal growth and business literature.

This balanced approach allows us to combine thoughtful editorial discernment with the voice of the global community - celebrating books that truly elevate how we think, lead, and grow.

Three awards. One mission.

Every year, we honor the books that made the biggest impact on readers, sparked important conversations, and pushed the boundaries of personal growth.
