From 80 views to 40k: finding the system behind the noise

I came into this expecting to learn tactics. What I got instead was a mirror. I'd been posting randomly — trying things, watching them flop at 80-100 views, no pattern, no strategy, just noise. Then one post hit 40k views, and within weeks I was consistently clearing 1,000+. That was the first proof it wasn't random — there was a system underneath, and I could learn it. I almost quit early on. I walked in thinking I already knew more than my instructors — classic mistake. Getting to the second and third stages was a real slap in the face. It's not easy watching your own certainty get dismantled in real time. But it's the part that actually changed something. The bigger shift wasn't tactical, it was strategic: I stopped chasing what I *thought* I should do and started building around what was actually measurable — and around a real vision instead of a borrowed one. That distinction gave me a north star I didn't have before. I also went in wanting to separate myself — be "just Pura Vida TV," keep it apart from everything else. I learned the opposite works better: integration. Bringing this into how I run things with my team, how I negotiate with property owners, how Coco Republic itself is structured — that's where I'm seeing the real change, not in a separate lane. What I'm walking away with: a clearer operating model for the business, and — just as important — more room for my own life outside of it. Meeting people further along this path, learning directly from people who've actually done it, has been the part I didn't expect to value most.
