Promoted to Applied AI Architect after manager watched my public AI journey for a year
After 11 months of documenting his AI journey publicly on LinkedIn, Karim earned a promotion to a newly created role at AMD and transformed how he shows up as a father—using AI to turn his daughter's stuffed lizard into an optometrist and learning that walking the talk means putting humans first, even when your kids remind you to step away from the screen.
Achievements:
- Promoted to Applied AI Architect at AMD, a role created after my manager watched my public AI journey for a full year
- Nominated for King Chamber of Commerce Excellence in New Business Award after 5 months of serving the community
- 81,000+ LinkedIn impressions documenting AI integrated into professional AND personal life
- Used AI to ease my daughter's anxiety at her eye exam, turning her stuffed lizard Bruni into an AI-generated optometrist to meet her where she was
- Received handwritten note from my daughter calling me "AI Boss" (2,281 impressions)
- Created "Fatherhood Moments" content series showing AI as a tool for family connection, not just productivity
- Built the Foundation AI film while documenting the creative process publicly
- Launched YDaaS, world's first fully offline HTML app for organizing ChatGPT export data
Tools:
Daily integration across 15+ platforms:
LLMs: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity
Image/Video: Nano Banana, Flux, Midjourney, Veo3, HeyGen, Adobe Premiere Pro

Knowledge: Airtable Automation: Make.com, n8n
Methodology:
Walking the talk means AI is woven into the FULL fabric of life, both personal and professional.
Professionally:
Applied AI Architect at AMD, keynote speaker, consultant, entrepreneur.
Personally:
Using AI to capture fatherhood moments.
Turning my daughter's stuffed lizard into an optometrist to ease her anxiety. Creating family videos that honor what matters.
The philosophy:
"The best AI solutions go beyond announce themselves, whereas they disappear into what people already trust and love."
Whether it's a child's eye exam or a team adopting AI at work, start with the human, then bring in the tool.
Learnings:
My daughter asked me to take a break from my computer. I brushed her off. Too busy. Too much work.
Then my son delivered the truth I didn't want to hear but needed to face: "Daddy, you never play with us anymore."
Dr. Gabor Maté said we need more moments of joy in our lives.
My kids taught me that lesson far better than any business book ever could.
In my opinion, walking the talk should not require posting daily on social media. It's about living the human-first AI philosophy in EVERY dimension, including the moments that humble you.
The night I told imposter syndrome to STFU, I discovered that the value isn't in knowing how to code. It's in knowing how to orchestrate, debug, and see the work through. I am worthy of what I think I can become.
