A first version of a family meal-planning app, built in just three hours
MealPath turns family meal planning into shopping lists, and its low-fidelity first version was ready within three hours.
This creator took an everyday chore that eats up hours, planning meals and writing grocery lists, and turned it into an app. Using AI tools and rapid prototyping, they had a first version running within three hours. Their story shows how quickly a good idea can become something real when you are willing to build.
Before
Meal planning and grocery lists are the kind of work that quietly takes time every week. This creator saw how many hours went into deciding what to cook and optimizing what to buy. They had the idea for something better, but it still had to be built.

The turning point
In the program they picked up vibe coding and AI-powered building. They used Lovable to develop the app and Gamma to generate the logo. Working through rapid prototyping, they had a low-fidelity version one ready within three hours.
“The future belongs to those who have great ideas and are resilient to execute them .”

After
Today MealPath is live, with family profiles, smart weekly or bi-weekly planning, automatic shopping lists and recipes from Indian, Mediterranean, Western and other cuisines. The creator sees it as a way to give time back to people, and estimates it saves more than 50 hours a year.
What it lets people do
Families can set up a profile for each member with their dietary preferences and get meal plans that respect everyone's needs. The app then builds one consolidated shopping list with quantities calculated, so the question of what is for dinner stops being a daily worry.
What they learned
They came away convinced that ideas matter most when paired with the resilience to carry them out. AI, in their view, can help people become healthier, happier and more fulfilled, and building with it is open to any future creator.
“This website is my way to give back time!”
