A documented AI workflow cut music video production from six days to seven hours

A repeatable AI music-video process: the first build took about six days, the next about seven hours, and a brother used it to publish his own.

This AI Mastery student did not stop at making one music video. They turned the messy first attempt into a documented, step-by-step workflow that anyone could follow. Then they proved it works by teaching it to their brother, who published his own video end to end.

AI Music-Video Workflow

Before

Their first full AI music video took roughly six days to build. Concept, song, storyboard, visuals, edit and publish were all separate puzzles, stitched together by hand. Timing drifted, and editing meant rework.

“first full build took ~6 days; subsequent build took ~7 hours using the documented process.”

The turning point

In the AI Mastery program, they stopped treating each video as a one-off and started documenting the process itself. They mapped every step, from a source text to a poem, lyrics, a Suno song, an Otter timecode and a five-second scene map. They added clear human-in-the-loop checkpoints for curation, pacing and alignment fixes.

“The workflow itself is the asset: once documented, creation time collapses while quality remains consistent.”

After

Using the documented process, their next video took about seven hours. They coached their brother through the music stage, and he then ran the whole workflow on his own to publish 'The Ozark Mountain Tech Man'. They have also helped classmates and friends apply it to their own projects.

What it lets people do

The workflow lets someone move from an idea or interview to a finished, published music video using ChatGPT, Suno, Otter, Midjourney and Camtasia. Its timecoding and five-second scene structure keep pictures in step with the song, so people spend less time fixing and more time creating.

What they learned

They learned that the workflow is the real asset. Once it is written down, creation time collapses while quality stays consistent, and the knowledge can pass to someone else.

“Timecoding + 5‑second scene structure prevents drift and reduces rework during editing.”

In their own words

AI Music-Video Workflow was built during AI Mastery.

Achievements ·        Designed and documented a repeatable AI music-video workflow: concept → song → storyboard → visuals → edit → publish. ·        Measured speed improvement: first full build took ~6 days; subsequent build took ~7 hours using the documented process. ·        Proved knowledge transfer: I coached my brother through the music creation stage, and he independently executed the complete process end-to-end to publish his own MV (‘The Ozark Mountain Tech Man’). ·        Assisted multiple AI Mastery classmates and personal friends in applying the same workflow to their own projects. Tools ·        ChatGPT, Suno, Otter, Midjourney, Camtasia, YouTube Methodology ·        Source truth input (curriculum or interview) → poem → lyrics/style → Suno song → Otter timecode → 5‑second scene map → Midjourney prompts → image options → selection/curation → animation → Camtasia edit + sync → publish. ·        Documentation focuses on timing discipline and clear ‘human-in-the-loop’ checkpoints (curation deck, pacing, and alignment fixes).
